   Aquarium of Genoa composed by 43 tanks including the 4 open-air ones in the Cetacean Pavilion. The total surface area of ​​the structure is 27,000 square metres. 4. Piazza Raffaele De Ferrari

   It is the main square of Genoa. Located in the heart of the city, it represents its commercial, financial and economic hub, as well as being the main point of reference during the most important events of city life. The current appearance of the square took shape in the first two decades of the twentieth century, with the construction of the three streets that converge there from the east, via XX Settembre (1892-1901), via Dante and via Petrarca (1901-1915), and the four large buildings in eclectic style, headquarters of companies and institutions, built between 1899 and 1923 in the area obtained from the excavation of the hill of S. Andrea.These are contrasted, on the opposite side, by the neoclassical profile of the buildings built in the first half of the nineteenth century by Carlo Barabino in what was the ancient Piazza San Domenico: Carlo Felice theater (1827) and the Palazzo dell'Accademia ligustica di fine arts (1831).

5. Piazza della Vittoria

6. Boccadasse

   It is an ancient seaside village in the municipality of Genoa with its pastel-coloured houses, leaning against each other and crowded around a small bay, although now surrounded by the city context, it has remained almost unchanged over time, as it would have been could have seen a century or two ago. Some fishermen still continue their ancient activity.

8. Via XX Settembre

   Built in the last decade of the nineteenth century, rectifying and widening the route of via Giulia and via della Consolazione, to create a new road towards the east, which until then had inadequate outlets for the urban expansion of the city. The name of the new road was the subject of heated discussions at the time, until the desire of numerous citizens to see the historic date of the Fall of Rome recognized with this name prevailed. The street was strongly supported by the mayor Andrea Podestà, but opposed by the resident population because to build it it was necessary to demolish houses and shops. Above all, the religious of the Rimedio church, expropriated to allow the passage of the artery, were against it. Among the other necessary demolitions there was that of the Sant'Andrea prison, hindered by the government.

9. Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta di Carignano

   It stands out with its harmonious mass at the top of the Carignano hill, is one of the best-known Genoese works by Galeazzo Alessi and one of the greatest examples of Renaissance architecture in the city. The sculptures by Pierre Puget and Filippo Parodi contained inside are among the highest masterpieces of Genoese Baroque. Due to its pre-eminent position, it is clearly visible from many parts of the city, which it overlooks with four identical façades, even if partially hidden by modern buildings. Started around the middle of the sixteenth century, its construction continued until the beginning of the following century, but the works also continued in the following centuries.

10. it is one of the largest and most elegant squares in Genoa, characterized by gardens and flower beds in both avenues leading to the nearby Acquasola park and the Villetta di Negro, in its center stands the imposing equestrian statue dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy. The Franzoniana Library is located there and, a short distance away, the Duse and Politeama theaters, the Mazzini Gallery and the Villetta Dinegro are located. The pedestrian underpasses of Piazza Corvetto have been cyclically decorated with extemporaneous galleries, called Falsi d'autore. 11. Spianata Castelletto

    It is a residential neighborhood located on the hills overlooking the historic center of Genoa. The area on which the Castelletto stood, divided into lots and built in the mid-nineteenth century, extends between Piazza Goffredo Villa and the Luigi Montaldo belvedere, a panoramic terrace overlooking the roofs of the historic center, the basin of the ancient port, the buildings of "Strada Nuova" (via Garibaldi) and the buildings below with hanging gardens that house the municipal offices, designed in the fifties by Franco Albini. This panoramic view, publicized by historic photos from the early twentieth century, is today one of the best known and authentic images of Genoa.

12. Basilica della Santissima Annunziata del Vastato

    It is one of the most representative churches of Genoese art of late mannerism and, above all, of the baroque of the early seventeenth century.

13. It is one of the main streets of Genoa. Designed as early as 1585, it represented an urban planning intervention resulting from the decentralization of luxury residences from the core of the historic center towards new areas of the city, at the time less dense with buildings, quieter and more peripheral.

14. Villa del Principe

    It is one of the main historic villas of Genoa, built in the sixteenth century in an area which, at the time of its construction, was outside the city walls. The villa presents multiple interventions and stratifications that make a unitary definition impossible
