Amazing evoke tour of Geneva

Geneva is an amazing city to bike tour. Saw so many places and was quite an adventure navigating city streets. Carol was a very knowledgeable guide and handled traffic and trails great. Definitely recommend.

Disappointing

As a veteran of e-bike tours around the world, this was very disappointing. The tour guide did not provide fundamentals for a safe tour: 1) introducing herself to us, 2) giving us an overview of the tour, 3) reviewing the safety fundamentals and driving customs in busy Geneva, 4) reviewing hand signals for turns, slowing down and stopping, and 5 ) the safe operation of the e-bikes. She had the historical knowledge of each stop but mumbled and didn’t speak clearly to the group. She was more of a caretaker than a tour guide. Add to this the high cost for this two hour tour and the value was very poor indeed.

Unfortunately you were late so you missed my name and Tour details. Every Tour starts with an introduction and I saw your group safely trying the bikes on a footpath/cycle path. Please feel free to speak to your Guide especially to let them know if your group is experienced or unexperienced so the Guide can adapt your Tour. Safety is our priority and the bikes are maintained by excellent Flyer retailers. Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries in the World. Nevertheless I didn't hear the magic word Thank you not even from the younger members of the Group.

Disappointing value and safety concerns

I recently went on this bike tour in Geneva, and unfortunately, I left feeling quite disappointed, especially given the price point. The primary issue was the lack of organization and information. For a guided tour, I was expecting to learn a lot about the local history and landmarks. Instead, our guide would say things like 'the oldest house in Geneva is on the next street' without actually identifying which building she was talking about. The equipment was in poor condition. My boyfriend’s bike seat was held together with duct tape, and there was no assistance from the guide to help anyone adjust their bikes for height or safety before setting off—we were simply handed bikes and told to go. The safety protocols were also concerning. The guide was chaotic on the road, frequently cutting into traffic abruptly. She also had a habit of leaving people behind who were still in the process of putting on their helmets or getting ready, rather than ensuring the whole group was prepared. Overall, I didn't feel that the quality of the experience or the equipment matched the cost of the tour. I’d recommend looking into other options for exploring the city by bike.

The Guide would adjust your seat and show you how to use the bicycle. I suggest to ask your Guide which is the Oldest House in Geneva if you did not hearUnfortunately there was a fire so it was only the cellar that was saved and became the Oldest house in Geneva. Well worth a visit if interested in history. The Tour is on 90% cycle paths. I hope you enjoyed Geneva.

Our tour guide Carol was...

Our tour guide Carol was terrible. She was more like a German general than a tour guide. She never had the best interest of the group in mind. We visited her predetermined stops but received limited information about what we were seeing, and she was not at all warm or helpful. I would not recommend taking a tour with her at all.

Not Great

We have taken bike tours all over the world and mostly have been fantastic. This one was the worst. Guide was late. Ate into our tour time. However, the tour was rushed and gave VERY little interesting information or history of such a beautiful and historic European city. Rushed from one main site to the next and there was nothing we couldn't get off of a quick Google search. Expected much more considering the cost of this tour, as compared to many others we have taken, was 2-3X as expensive. Not worth it at all. Sad actually.

Coffee or 10 minute phone calls are not included in tours. I suggest to listen to the Guide for Information. If a tour starts late it finishes late.
