Poor Service
Absolutely terrible company to work with. Everything stated 7:15am for the pick up time and our bus driver arrived at 6:45am, asked the hotel front desk to call our room to let us know he was there, we said we’d be right down and as we walked down, he left so we were unable to do the day trip we paid for. They’re refusing to refund us the $671 they took. Will never book with this company again!
Response from the operator: Good morning, We would like to clarify that the 7:15 AM time refers to the bus station departure, with hotel pick-up scheduled 30 minutes earlier as mentionned on your ticket, confirmed by message. Our driver arrived at 6:45 AM, and we also tried calling you, but there was no answer. Furthermore, on the morning of the tour, you informed us that you had missed the experience due to a flight delay. We are therefore surprised by the claims made in this review. Our team followed the scheduled pick-up arrangements, and we regret that you were unable to join the tour. Kind regards,

DISappointed
THIS IS A DECEIVING EXCURSION - its basically a trip to the town of Zermatt. It leads you to believe that the MATTERHORN is also included and the pic they post of people in the snow at the ZERMATT sign doesnt happen unless you buy a SEPARATE train/tram/gondola ride up the mountain to Matterhorn and thats an additional $150 (ish). I got picked up at 7:30am - stopped in Montreaux for more people and then you get to TASCH -JUST to change buses b/c the town of Zermatt doesnt let everyone take their cars so you change to an electric "taxi" and it takes you to the center of town or where the trains are to go up the mountain. The town is cute, with nothing but shops/hotels, small coffee shops/restaurants. Unless you plan to hike, walk the whole town - you dont need 12 hour to see this place. We got dropped off and had something like 4-5 hours walking about time - TOO MUCH. EVERYONE in our group was disappointed and felt mislead, one couple was downright mad and they should be b/c we could have walked, ate, shopped in 90 min and had the rest of our day to go see something else. I wont be using VIATOR again - and that sucks b/c Im on my way to ZUR and then Paris and I have used this company around the world, including Dubai/Abu Dabi. I was going to buy an excursion to Annecy tomoro and Chamonix Fri but - Ill use "AirBNB experience" instead. Oh - I almost forgot - its states ENTRY/ADMISSION TO MATTERHORN GLACIER PARADISE is included (see pic) - ITS NOT! and lastly - the driver was kind, courteous, knowledgable, and more than willing to assist. HE was great - but this one is a scam. DONT BUY IT - Go on your own to Zermatt, buy your tram tickets to Matterhorn (when you get there) and save yourself time, money and disappointment.
Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the driver’s professionalism and assistance, although we’re sorry that the excursion did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that your booking was made through Viator, where the tour description clearly outlines the inclusions and exclusions. The excursion includes transportation to Zermatt and free time to explore the village, while the mountain excursion to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is not included unless specifically stated in the selected package. We understand that expectations may differ, but we encourage all guests to carefully review the tour details before booking to ensure they are fully aware of what is included. Kind regards
