    Terrible.

The application works terribly. It locates poorly, short stories. Few points of interest. There were 3 of us and the same thing happened to all of us. The worst audio guide I have used.

Enjoyable hunt, but the texts need more curating

I liked the idea of a scavenger hunt a lot. The app is easy to use and navigating to the different points is easy and well integrated with google maps. The puzzles are not too complicated and fun. The texts describing the different sights though ... very redundant. If i hear one more time about the maritime identity, trade, resilience and the civic pride ..... There were some cool anecdotes there as well, but most of the text was just filler. Everything tells a story of.., each one is a symbol of .., all of them endured through war and fire and everything reflects the city in some way or the other. But we did try one of the food recommendations and it was 10/10 !

Response from the operator: Thank you for this detailed and honest feedback! 😊 We're glad the hunt itself was fun and easy to navigate in Gdansk, and that a food recommendation scored a perfect 10/10! Your point about the texts is spot on, repeating the same themes like maritime identity and civic pride across stops is exactly the kind of filler we're working to cut, so each text carries more specific, concrete detail instead. Feedback this precise genuinely helps us improve. We hope to welcome you on another adventure in a different city soon! 🗺️

Great value, self paced. Interesting facts.

    A lovely walk through Gdansk

This is our third World City Trails tour, and we enjoyed it. Some of the challenges are a bit frustrating - like the one that asks you to count the number of differences between the photo and the actual structure. On the actual building the windows are paired, meaning they appear in sets of two, right next to each other. If one set of windows is missing in the photo, does that count as one difference, or is it two because there are two windows? I suppose it doesn't really matter, because it's just a game, but these are things that could be improved. We love the suggestions on restaurants, and, as opposed to the in-person games, you can stop and restart any time.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! 😊 Your third World City Trail — that's the biggest compliment we could receive! We love that you enjoy the restaurant suggestions and the freedom to stop and restart anytime. Your point about the "spot the difference" counting is a fair one — that kind of specific feedback genuinely helps us make the puzzles clearer, and we'll pass it to our team. We're already looking forward to your fourth adventure with us! 🗺️

    Meh

I personally didn’t enjoy the interface of this self paced guided. Other ones we’ve done downloaded the whole audio guide instead of each station.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback Jon. We're sorry the interface didn't meet your expectations. We take your point about downloading content upfront seriously — we'll pass this to our development team as it would make the experience smoother especially in areas with weaker connectivity. We hope to welcome you in another city with an improved experience! 🗺️

Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gdansk.

How much does Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gdansk usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gdansk is not rushed.

Is Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gdansk, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gdansk can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gdansk and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Gdansk Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gdansk within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Gdansk?

    +

On Outty we rank every Gdansk experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gdansk Food and Sightseeing Tour with Bart, Discover Gdansk Walking Tour, Gdańsk: City Sightseeing Tour by Buggy/Golf Cart LIVE GUIDED 1H. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Gdansk?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Gdansk?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
