    A great experience

We opted for a guided tour with fixed timed entry and we thoroughly the whole experience. Our guide was Kyle and there were only 4 of us in the group, which was great for us. We were given head sets to wear and it meant that we could hear our guide over the noise of groups or families and also when Kyle stood back for us to get the best views, we could be looking at what he was talking about without having to turn to listen to him. They worked really well and Kyle was an excellent guide. He knew his subject and was clearly enthusiastic about his subject. He made sure we were in the right place for the best views and encouraged us to ask questions, even though his commentary was so comprehensive, we didn’t really need to ask anything. The views were wonderful on the day – it was clear and sunny and three floors offered different aspects all around. Once we parted company from Kyle, we still had priority lift access and there were other presentations available that you could just sit and watch. The Skyline Concierges were friendly, approachable and also very knowledgeable and once we had finished looking at the skyline, we went to the shop, where we had $15 each to spend, as part of our ticket price. The shop was not huge but had an excellent range on offer and was reasonably priced – even more so, when we had our complimentary $15. We really came away from the experience, feeling we had seen and heard so much and would recommend both the OWO and the VIP Tour. It was an excellent visit.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience, especially with your tour guide, Kyle. Our goal is to provide the best experience for our visitors. We hope to see you again soon!

Tour Guide Made All the Difference

This tour was exceptional, and our Tour Guide, Micaela, knew everything about the city and made a world of difference. Visiting the observatory of the World Trade Center was phenomenal, and the views are breathtaking, but having a tour guide provide the history of what we were looking at was worth every penny. Without all the background information, we would have just looked at beautiful scenery. This was an exceptional tour and I highly recommend it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for visiting us! We are glad to know that your tour guide made such a difference by bringing the history of New York City to life alongside the breathtaking views. Providing that rich background and depth to the skyline is what makes our guided tours so special. We look forward to welcoming you back for another visit in the future!

    AWESOME VIEWS

5 of us had tickets for a private tour of the Freedom Tower on a Sunday in March. We arrived on the subway at the Oculus Mall. Upon walking outside, we were amazed at the sheer size of the Freedom Tower. We proceeded to the guest services desk to check in for our tour. As it happened, only the 5 of us were on the tour. Our tour guide whisked us off to the elevator while giving us info and facts about the tower. Three levators were very fast. Once we arrived at the top, we were ushered in to watch a quick 1-2 minute movie. I won’t ruin if for others. As soon as the movie ended, we moved over to another room to see the magnificent views. At each stop, our tour guide pointed out landmarks and gave us historical facts. It was very interesting!!! In all we spent about 2 hours in the tower and had a great time!!!

Fantastic views, great VIP package with guide

We had an amazing experience with our very knowledgeable and fantastic guide. She was articulate and explained the history, pre construction, during and the future for the site. The experience in the lift with the displays was great up and down and the interactive displays throughout were great and interesting. The $15 voucher each was good and used in the cafe and shop for souvenirs. The view from the 102nd floor was incredible, we had a clear day and this really added value to our trip up. The points of interest were explained to us and we were able to see all of the skyscrapers, UN, NJ and the surrounding boroughs and bridges easily. We had the tour for approximately an hour and then left to continue at our leisure at the top. The memorial section on the ground was also very special and well managed and security was present. The only confusion we had was that the 9/11 museum was not included in the observatory ticket. This is a must do activity in NYC.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the review! We're glad you had an amazing experience and enjoyed the guided tour. It’s great to hear that the clear views made your visit even more special. We hope to welcome you back again on your next NYC visit!

Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New York.

How much does Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory cost?

    +

Prices start at $74 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New York usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New York is not rushed.

Is Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New York, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New York can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New York and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Fully Guided VIP Tour of One World Observatory start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New York within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New York?

    +

New York has more bookable experiences than any other city on Outty, and the quality spread is brutal. Observation decks are commoditised, so we score them on timed-entry reliability and sunset slots. Food tours and borough walks are where the ranking really separates operators, and the top scores in the city all come from small-group guides. On Outty we rank every New York experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Canyon VIP Helicopter Tour, Half-Day Bus Tour of NYC Top Highlights, NYC Bus Tour of Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens: Art, Food & Sports. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New York?

    +

September to early November, and late April through June. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New York?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
