it’s really taken the shine off of a lovely holiday. Don’t waste your time, money or health!!!
I would NOT recommend this trip to anyone!!! This boat trip round the islands, has left me in agony! Driving through the sea in stormy conditions causing the boat to bump up and down for over an hour on the return journey has resulted in a neck strain. This along with the actual tour (not sufficient time snorkelling or kayaking and too much time on a beach with no shade) did not make for a pleasant trip! The food at lunch was adequate although disappointing that there was no fresh fish served. The tour guides were nice enough but no consideration for people’s well being was given when driving through a rainstorm on the way to lunch (35 minutes) or the 70 minute trip back to shore. As I said, I’ve been awake all night, dreading the flight home having been left with a severely sore back and neck! The details say that it’s not suitable for people with back injuries. I didn’t have any back issues BEGORE this trip!

Not a Great Tour
It was worth taking the trip for a walk on Nang Yuan Island but the service was terrible. It consisted of barking instructions at the guests army style by a semi-literate Burmese guide in semi-intelligible English. I felt like a part of a herd, not a tourist group. The whole trip consists of a 1.5hr visit to Nang Yuan, a brief lunch on Koh Tao (even though bait-and-switch style, the trip is marketed as a visit to Koh Tao), and then snorkeling, snorkeling and again snorkeling - yes, 3 times, while people not interested in the activity had to sit on the hot boat as the snorkeling sites were off shore. I do not understand why these cannot be 2 separate trips - one for those who want to visit Nang Yuan and Koh Tao, and one for the diehard fans of snorkeling. There is a separate fee to set foot on Nang Yuan island collected in cash before the start of the trip. On the way back there was something wrong with the boat so it had to stop mid-sea twice until the crew got things right. This company has no idea what customer service is and it's employees are not very well trained - and this is what creates the unpleasant experience. On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be a lot of competition to encourage them to do better.

Good wave.
Good wave. Excellent guides and crew. Epic underwater world. That's the only way to sum up this mind-blowing speedboat and snorkeling adventure!

Definitely one to do! You won't regret it!
What a fantastic all-day excursion! Amazing crew! Lovely speed boat and beautiful islands. We were first picked up from our hotel and collected a few others on route to the bay. Breakfast was toast and a hot drink, so I would try and ensure you get a good brekkie in before. The crew was excellent at commanding your attention to talk about the trip and give lots of important information for health and safety and about preserving the islands. A good emphasis on no litter or plastic bottles and protecting the coral. Sea sickness tablets were also offered which i thought was a great idea for those who may need it! We then made our way to our numbered boat and the speed boat journey began...again picking up some more passengers on route but the this was no issue as being on the open waters with the sun blazing and lovely breeze was beautiful. We arrived at our first stop off Koh Tao for a bit of snorkeling. Would recommend wearing the life jackets even if a strong swimmer as the water was a bit choppy but beautiful all the same. Next stop for lunch which was sufficient and there was also another canteen there where you could pay to get more menu options. Keep-sake photo taken which are pretry cool so dont forget to take some cash with you. Next stop Koh Nang Yuan - picture postcard! Amazing snorkelling. Marine life....stunning. Nuff said! Go and discover!!! Definitely value for money. Couldn't have been organised by a better team! Thank you for a wonderful day out! Truly memorable!

Excellent Tour Because of their Excellent Staff.
OK, these islands are already beautiful and worth visiting, visiting these islands you will already have an amazing day. But what really sets this tour apart is the staff. They are excellent, friendly, and very helpful. They take VERY good care of you and make sure your day goes well. They truly go the extra mile anticipating what you need before asking. We had a wonderful day exploring these islands, it was like walking into a postcard. We would definitely do this again, or go on one of their other tours. Highly recommended. Just GO.

Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat cost?
+
Prices start at $1650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 38 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Koh Samui by Speedboat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
