What you'll see and do

  1. High Atlas Mountains

This is a marvellous trip during which you will discover the most spectacular valleys of the area. Ourika Valley, Sidi Fares and Asni Valley. We will pick you up at 8am from your hotel or riad, and leaving Marrakech towards the high Atlas Mountains , we will cross several villages before driving along the Ourika Valleys which stretches for about 30 miles cross the foothills of the High Atlas. This is one of the most spectacular drives where the road follows the rushing Ourika River, which never runs dry and provides wonderful white water rafting in the summer months. In case of interest; we would stop in the morning to visit the Women argan oil cooperative . The argan nut is unique to Morocco and Moroccans have long knew about the wonderful benefit of the oil extracted from this nut for eveyday use either in cooking or cosmetic. We will drive trough villages and will able to stop whenever you want for photos . We also encourage our clients to bring with them unwanted . clothes or shoes, as well as school furniture that you can distribute yourself once you travel with us, will be lot's of the Berber kids on the way. We will continue to climb upwards until we reach the Sidi Fares valley (over 1900 meters)an authentic area famous for apple trees , where you will have lunch in a berber house in a village overlooking the Atlas Mountains. After this unique lunch, we head off for the greener Asni valley where orchards lined the route. You can also admire the Mount Toubkal: the highest peak in Northern Africa culminating at 4167 meters then we will drive back to Marrakesh through the authentic Berber villages of Asni

An unforgettable day in the Atlas Mountains

Abdel made this full-day trip to the Atlas Mountains and the Valleys something really special. He picked us up right on time in a comfortable car for the three of us. From the start he was polite, warm and full of knowledge about the region, its history and its people. He showed us breathtaking mountain landscapes and chose genuinely interesting stops along the way — never the usual tourist traps with camel rides or pressure to buy souvenirs. The highlight was a wonderful homemade lunch with a Berber family, which felt authentic rather than staged. Abdel also took us along beautiful off-the-beaten-track routes in his Toyota Land Cruiser, and always made sure we were comfortable. The three of us enjoyed every single minute and can recommend Abdel without hesitation.

Response from the operator: Thank you soo much Mr Patrick for taking of your time and share this great feedback back , and it was really pleasure meeting you and your lovely family

Day trip to Atlas Mountains

This was an excellent tour. Abdelrani is a wonderful knowledgeable guide and knows the Berber family in the Atlas Mountains where you will have lunch which is an incredible spot with wonderful views. The walk to the waterfall was a lot of fun and we had a local guide for that part. Absolutely worth it, our best day in Morocco.

Great trip with an even greater guide!

We spent the day with Hicham. He picked us up in Marrakech, showed us around the Atlas Mountains (Berber museum, lunch and waterfalls included) and organized a last minute trip to the desert including dinner for us. Overall, the trip was more than perfect. Hicham is a unbelievably funny and kind guy who enjoys showing his culture and country to visitors. We didn't have a boring minute on this trip and enjoyed every minute. Thank you, Hicham for the great day! We hope to see you again soon!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, for taking of your time and wrote this great words I really appreciate it Regards hicham

Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech cost?

+

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Trip To Atlas Mountains And 3 Valleys From Marrakech start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
