And there are other reasons to love this picturesque destination. You have to see the Sujuy Ha Lagoon in the sunlight to get the full spectrum of blues that you can see. The lake water is fresh. Most of the lake has crystal-clear water and the high limestone content of the water is such that the sun reflects the sky, causing the lake to take on several different shades of aqua blue. Bacalar is a magic town in Mexico, which lovers of nature, adventure, history and cultural events find a perfect setting for an incredible trip.

Fascinating Trip with Oskar guide and Manuel driver
We recently did a full-day private tour to Bacalar, Fort Felipe, and Cenote Azul in Quintana Roo, Mexico, and it was one of the best excursions we’ve ever had.From the very beginning, the service was outstanding. Our guide Oskar was exceptional – knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about the history and natural beauty of the region. He explained everything in perfect English, shared interesting stories about the Mayan culture, the pirates who once occupied the area, and the unique ecosystem of the Lagoon of Seven Colors. He answered all our questions with patience and made the whole day feel personal and special.Our driver Manuel was also fantastic – safe, punctual, and always smiling. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed.

Great experience!
Great experience. We didn’t have enough time to spend a couple of days there, so this tour was enough to get to know Bacalar in a fair amount of time. Maui and Angel were our tour guides and both were, transparent, great and organized. Everything was on time and the food was also good. The only thing about this tour is that it didn’t come with the boat ride around the lagoon so we had the option to stay at the beach club (which was cute but small) or pay an extra 250 pesos/person (which isn’t a bad price). We chose to pay and had a great time. If you’re looking for the ride around the lagoon then I would recommend maybe booking that tour instead.

Not worth it
I wouldn’t take this tour again. I would definitely just go to BACALAR on my own to spend time where I wanted. It is convenient to be taken to each place however other than that we didn’t get much from our tour guide. We also did not go to the fort at all. It was completely skipped.

Fabulous
The trip was awesome. Arturo was fabulous. He spoke 3 different languages for all on the bus. The food was incredible. I absolutely recommend this excursion. We also were giving bathroom breaks on the way. Very helpful.Yes it's a drive however you get to see the most amazing views once you arrive you'll quickly forget that you were on a van at all. Thanks for everything Arturo.
