Unforgettable Experience in the Scottish Highlands
I recently completed this private tour with my husband. Our tour guide, David, made the experience memorable. He was very professional and courteous. He arrived at the pickup ahead of schedule and always opened doors and provided refreshments throughout the experience. He offered fantastic conversation and recommendations throughout. Our guide ensured that we never spent too much time in the car on any particular stretch of the journey. We really enjoyed seeing Stirling Castle and trying the foods at the various stops. As we were the only participants on the tour, our guide was flexible and provided opportunities to alter the experience to meet our interests.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. It was an absolute pleasure welcoming you both to Scotland. We're delighted to hear that David made your day so memorable and that you enjoyed the flexibility of your private tour, the beautiful scenery, Stirling Castle, and the delicious local food along the way. Creating personalised experiences that allow our guests to explore Scotland at their own pace is exactly what we strive for, so your kind words mean a great deal to us. Thank you again for choosing Sixstar Bespoke Tours. We hope to welcome you back for another Scottish adventure in the future.

Perfect private tour outside Edinburgh for kids!
This is the tour to take from Edinburgh. Fantastic day with Mark, who was incredibly flexible with our schedule and changing needs with kids. 8 hrs was enough for 2 Castles, Highland Cows, Loch Katrine, and 3 bridges on the way back. Highly recommended, informative and very personable!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Laura! It was a pleasure to welcome you and your family to Scotland. We're delighted to hear that Mark was able to make the day flexible around the children's needs while still fitting in so many amazing sights. Creating memorable, stress-free experiences for families is exactly what we aim for. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another Scottish adventure in the future! Best wishes

Great tour
We were fortunate enough to take a tour with Davie - fabulous: Luss, Stirling Castle the Hairy Coos. Lunch at a lovely pub. Davie told stories, history and music to fit the occasion. Our 3 year old received a special gift. “Maggie” will always have a special place with our great grandson. Davie even assisted with some shopping! Julie was a pleasure to work with and extremely response. Davie and Julie went out of their way to make sure we had a trip to remember. We enjoyed Davie’s company very much. They are both very lovely, warm and kind people.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review lovely review. It was an absolute pleasure organising it for you and so glad your great grandson loved Maggie😊 Hope you can visit us again someday.

Very interesting , enjoyable and relaxing!
Three family couples had an absolutely super time on our recent trip to Scotland, the Lake District of England and Wales. Our tour coordinator Julie and coach driver Davie did a great job showing us historic, beautiful places and outstanding scenery. Davie is a very knowledgeable and personable driver who will quickly win your respect and affection! We strongly recommend SixStars if you’re looking for an interesting, beautiful, laidback tour of destinations in Great Britain. Thanks Davie and Julie for a great trip and experience! Jeff & Debi

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.
How much does Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs cost?
+
Prices start at $1033 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Tour Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Trossachs start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?
+
On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Edinburgh: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Fort William, Edinburgh: Loch Ness, Glencoe and The Highlands, Original Harry Potter Locations: Guided Walking Tour in Edinburgh. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Edinburgh?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
