  3. Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx of Giza (Arabic: أبو الهول‎ Abū al-Haul, English: The Terrifying One; literally: Father of Dread), commonly referred to as the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining or couchant sphinx (a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human head) that stands on the Giza Plateau on the West Bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the face of the Pharaoh Khafra. It is the largest monolith statue in the World, standing 73.5 metres (241 ft) long, 19.3 metres (63 ft) wide, and 20.22 m (66.34 ft) high.

  4. Merit Aton Papyrus Shop

The centuries-old practice of turning Egyptian papyrus leaves into paper is nearly mocked today at many of the shops in Cairo’s Khan El Khalili market, where poor quality souvenirs are hawked to unsuspecting tourists. The cheaply made products may discourage many modern Cairenes from even considering this market as a place to shop for gifts. However, a recent visit to Al Ghouri Papyrus Art Centre proves that Khan El Khalili still has quality products that beautifully represent Egyptian history and talent.

An unforgettable journey into the world of the pharaohs

The tour to the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx was simply impressive! The monumental buildings are indescribable and leave you in awe - you suddenly feel very small. Our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, gave us fascinating insights and answered all our questions. The price for the tour was also very good, an overwhelming experience. Absolutely recommendable!

Response from the operator: thank you so much for the Review.

Loved it

Everything was good tour guide, driver, food. Trip was good value for money! When you compare what we’d pay for anything similar in the uk I would actually amazing value for money! Would take toilet paper with you as you end up having to buy it that’s if you’re lucky if not then you go without in some places but that is normal around most of Egypt. Locals are a bit pushy for sales etc but a firm no and stern face usually does the job. Would definitely go back and do it again and the tour guide I would say is a must rather than going yourself they keep you right and keep you safe too!

Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.

How much does Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus cost?

+

Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus take?

+

Plan for about 18 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 18-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 18-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Tour in Cairo by Bus start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hurghada?

+

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings & Tutankhamun Tomb Trip, Orange Bay Island, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
