Good Itinerary, Uncomfortable Experience with Guide

We booked the Supreme Safari Sightseeing tour on 6/18/2026. The destinations on the tour were great; however, the tour guide was not. My aunt wanted to know more about the development of other cities in the DR. So once we got off, I went over to ask our tour guide. Wanting to practice my Spanish, I said: “Excuse me, this will sound like a stupid question, but are there other cities in the Dominican Republic with larger buildings, or are most cities similar to this one?” In retrospect, the question may have sounded condescending, but this was absolutely not my intention. Let me be very clear, I love the DR and would never dream of speaking badly about such a place. However, my guide got visibly offended. So, in front of my entire family as well as the 28 or so other people in the tour, he asked me how many languages I spoke, then told me he spoke 10. He then proceeded to tell me he was a Professor and a Neurosurgeon who had 2 operations every week (He thought I was a university student until my family told him that I’m still in High School). He ended his speech by accusing me of coming to the DR for “f****** technology” and that I should go somewhere else. I felt like absolute garbage for asking. I was absolutely humiliated and also guilty that I had made him think that I was insulting him. He later tried to make amends by explaining in detail each part of the DR and its exports using a map. I apologized for my question, telling him I didn’t mean it that way, but he never apologized. Instead, he told me he was playing a “mind game” and was just fooling with me. Really ruined the rest of my day and left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn’t dare utter a single word of Spanish after that, for the rest of the trip.

    Super amazing trip...highly recommend 👌

Absolutely amazing, the team are genuinely caring and providing a service with a smile. I couldn't believe how many places they fit in a day tour. Stunning country side, to beaches, churches and beach. Lunch was delicious. Thank you

    Good value for the cost!

Good value for the money. Some things to know: Horse back riding is only 10 min. The stop at the market was interesting..definitely gives u a sense of the everyday market. Open bar is rum and soda only and water. Jose and his team were fantastic!!!

    Not for All

The activity included a few different stops. Began with a brief horseback ride, cigar stop, followed by a stop at an outdoor market, souvenir shop, Cathedral, lunch, cacao farm and lastly stop at Macao beach. The stop are brief but you maybe stuck waiting for other guest. The bus his pack to capacity, so customer service lacks with only one guide. We were about 40 on a school bus.

Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana cost?

    +

Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana take?

    +

Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 52 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana?

    +

Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Supreme Safari Punta Cana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Off Road Buggy Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
