Superb experience and tour guide!
The entire tour was excellent. The pickup point was clear. The bus was comfortable and the breakfast & lunch buffets were delicious! I’m gluten and lactose intolerant and there was lots for me to have. The guide Wayra was superb! A very kind and knowledgeable person. He gave an extensive history of the mountain, lake and surrounding region. The views were beautiful and the hiking was a lot of fun :) I would definitely recommend this tour, and especially our guide Wayra!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing such a wonderful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the entire tour, from the clear pickup instructions and comfortable transportation to the breakfast and lunch buffets. We’re especially happy that you found suitable food options despite your dietary restrictions and that Wayra made your experience even more special with his kindness, knowledge, and detailed explanations about the mountain, lake, and surrounding region. It’s wonderful to know that you enjoyed the beautiful views and the hike. We truly appreciate your recommendation, especially your kind words about Wayra, and we hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable adventure in Peru!

Worst agency of my trip in Perù. They put our group in danger.
Worst agency of my trip in Perù. They put our group in danger by allowing a tour to Laguna Humantay to happen despite severely bad weather conditions that were well known in advance through Senamhi as another guide told me on the site.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon. We regret that your experience was not what you expected. However, we feel it is important to clarify that the weather in Cusco is highly variable and can change rapidly, especially in high-altitude areas like Humantay Lagoon. Weather forecasts are for reference only and do not allow us to know with certainty what the conditions will be like the following day or during an activity. The excursion proceeded normally and according to the established itinerary. At no time is it our intention to put our passengers at risk; on the contrary, we take the appropriate measures and recommendations based on the conditions at the time. We understand that weather conditions can cause discomfort or affect the experience, but **we cannot control or predict the weather with absolute certainty**. If the conditions had posed a risk that prevented the activity from being carried out safely, the appropriate decision would have been made. Thank you for your feedback.

We did this tour with Wayra and he was an amazing guide one could ask for! Not only all through the activity but he was very knowledgeable about history. He was also very patient and was answering all questions you have.

Amazing
It was challenging and rewarding. We felt with the altitude, but we managed to carry out the whole journey and it was very worth it. I thank the guide Wilfredo for his support and patience throughout the journey. I highly recommend.

Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake cost?
+
Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake take?
+
Plan for about 15 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 15-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 15-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Small Group Tour to Humantay Lake start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
