Bad experience. Not happy.
I booked transportation with Carmine Giacobbe directly for my trip to Italy May 2026. He agreed to a price with CC and never said he would change a fee for the credit card. He then asked for 10% more. My plane was delayed and he refused to honor our reservation for pick up in Florence. It was pre paid yet he didn’t pick us up because it wasn’t on time and he said he couldn’t find a driver. Per Carmine’s policy all drivers spoke English. Not true. I had to text him for every pick up as he never confirmed without my text first. Last pick up I had to text him twice and his response was he had 30 rides to do and was working on it. So my experience with Carmine Giacobbe was very bad and he failed to provide me with the services I paid him for. He got 1550 euros plus the 10% fees and took advantage of me. Yes he is charming till he has your money. I recommend avoiding his services.

We Had the Best Day!
We met Carmine two years ago when we traveled to Naples with my husband's family. When we planned a trip this year with my family and contacted Carmine because of how excellent our previous experience had been. Carmine took wonderful care of my mother who had fallen a few days before and was struggling to walk. He called her "the queen" and he treated her like one. We saw so many beautiful sites, Carmine explained everything to us, and even contacted one of his friends to make a delicious lunch for us. He kept close track of the time, ensuring that we had plenty of time to arrive to our cruise ship. Carmine made the day very special for us, and if we are ever fortunate enough to return, we will contact him again!

Excellent service. Very kind and very confortable vehicle
He pick us very sharp outside our Hotel in the morning. Tje vehicle was clean and confy. The driver was very kind and gave us an explanation of everything we asked. He drove up very carefully and we arrive on time. First we went to Ravello and it was a Fantastic experience walking the beautiful town. We spend about 2 hrs and return to the place we were dropped. The we went to Amalfi. It was little crowded but we can parked just in the middle of the town. We spend about 3 hrs and visted the most remarkable streets and almost the whole shore. He gave us a restaurant recomendation to eat and it was delicious. The return was again very smooth and comfy. It was a fascinating experience with excellent and kind service. Fully recomended. Oscar

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 69 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast?
+
Around 24 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Private Tour on the Amalfi Coast start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
