LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, woman, & person-of-color-friendly. An exceptional experience

We had an amazing time with Ken on our trip to the Cliffs of Moher. He accepted our very last-minute booking and created an experience that will be one of our fondest memories of our month-long holiday in the UK and Europe. Ken was extremely professional, but at the same time, very personable and human. He made us both feel extremely safe and comfortable on the ride out and back (3 hrs each way). As queer, curvy, neurodiverse women of color in a lesbian relationship, we don’t often feel socially accepted in spaces, so words cannot express our gratitude to Ken for treating us …like humans, and not as societal tokens nor social rejects. Ken is a great conversationalist, and his ability to anticipate when you’re open to chatting and when you need a break was much appreciated by our neurodivergent brains, which can get overstimulated in social situations if we don’t get communication and stimulation breaks. We also really appreciated that Ken was flexible with how much space he took up on our trip - we preferred he provide us with more guidance and suggestions on how to approach the Cliffs as well as where to stop for lunch, which he accommodated happily without making us feel ‘controlled’. He also asked us about our preferences before making his suggestions and decisions, so they were well-suited to us as well. We also loved that, when it came time to get out of the van to explore, he gave us our space to do that on our own, staying close by but out of sight so it felt like we were out there - just the two of us - with the psychological safety of knowing he was near by. FYI, Ken did note that he’s also happy to stay closer and even tag along as you explore, but only if you specifically ask him to. All in all, we cannot recommend this experience - with Ken, specifically - more. It is well-worth the significant price tag; we are in no way ‘rich’, but will pay for our psychological comfort and safety. We understand that Ken does these types of private tours in multiple locations in Europe, and we will certainly reach out to him on our next EU adventure. Thanks, Ken! We’ll always remember and forever be grateful of the time, compassion, and care you gave us on our private tour with you. Monique & Jenny

Ken Delaney gave us the trip of a lifetime!

My family travelled to Ireland in July 2023 for first visit to the country. We worked with Ken Delaney on an itinerary for the West Coast day trip as well as an East Coast day trip and a day trip to the Wicklow Mountains and surrounding areas. Ken was instrumental in helping us chart a course to see the sights WE wanted to see and the sights he knew we should see, including many less-touristy areas. He not only was a fantastic tour guide and driver, but he was an even better travel partner. He felt like part of the family and he made our trip so special and memorable. I can’t say enough good things about Ken’s knowledge, professionalism, friendly personality and attitude. We can’t wait to return to Ireland and work with Ken.

    Seamless Experience!

Our experience with Ken could not have gone more perfectly! From start to finish, we had a seamless experience. Ken picked up my fiancé & I directly from our hotel in Dublin for a tour along the wild Atlantic Way to Galway, Dunguaire Castle, with a final stop at the Cliffs of Moher. Ken is the perfect combination of professional, informative, & entertaining - which made our tour with him the highlight of our overall trip to Ireland. I have already recommended Ken to many friends & we plan to use him again this upcoming October. We truly cannot recommend Ken enough!

    Outstanding Family Experience

Ken Delaney is a gracious, accommodating and competent host and guide. We enjoyed a fabulous tour of SW Ireland, Dingle, Killarney Lakes and the Boyne Valley. The ride was comfortable in Ken’s Mercedes Sprinter with plenty of room for passengers and luggage. Guided tours are an excellent way to see Ireland and all its beauty. We strongly recommend Escape to Ireland and Ken Delaney for a fun filled, stress free and memorable tour of Ireland. Ed and Marijane Geary Natick, Massachusetts

Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland cost?

    +

Prices start at $1150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland take?

    +

Plan for about 14.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 14.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 14.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Private Tour in West Coast of Ireland start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
