Upon arrival in the region and prior to the visit, we always propose to meet the guest over a nice glass of wine or a cup of coffee (our treat) to truly fine tune their experience to them. The excursion usually starts around 9:30 a.m. and will last about 8 hours. Once more, each visit is unique and can be based upon a theme such as landscapes and Heritage, Legends and Castles, Tastings at and Discoveries of the vineyards and Provençal markets, Art, literature, Crafts, Folklore and the Provençal, Occitan and Roman Cultures. As we are not a company, but a registered not-for-profit cultural association having begun our activities in 2004, our local members who volunteer to accompany visitors are passionate about the history, culture and language of the region.

Great experience.
Like so many other comments, we had two lovely days with Richard. We opened dialogue with David, the owner / manager (I guess) of the organization. We booked and communicated via Viator - and if I had it to do over again, I’d communicate directly with David. David, who appears to be a transplant to Provence from Texas, was absolutely fabulous in helping us as first timers to Provence. He sent outstanding e-mails in advance with so much good advice in how to maneuver in France (not just Provence), it truly gave us a confidence booster. Richard is a lovely man and surely aims to please. Realizing my husband and I had a great interest in history within Provence, Richard did some research and the second day of our personalized tour, came equipped with typed notes to anticipate and answer our questions! Richard was so generous with his time; our first day was an almost 12 hour day. He had to have been exhausted! Our second day was a stormy and rainy day, but Richard made it all happen (we just hope he didn’t get sick!). Food for thought, however. Richard took us to two wonderful places for lunch and we do not regret sampling local, off the beaten track cuisine at all. Both restaurants were superb. But, my husband and I don’t really need lunch when we travel since we usually go with breakfast provided by our hotel. If we had to do it all over again, I think we should have told David that we don’t need to stop for lunch, especially since you can count on it being a minimum of one to two hours out of our sightseeing day. We never said anything to Richard and since he kindly volunteered to show us around his lovely home country, it was our pleasure to host him for lunch… but if you are not lunch go’ers, best thing is to let David know so there are no surprises. Of course, lunch provides Richard a much needed break is my guess - it just has to be exhausting driving, answering questions and sharing information about his home in Provence.

Unforgettable Experience in Provence!
We had an amazing experience with this tour from start to finish. The planning and communication leading up to the tour were exceptional—everything was organized perfectly, all of our questions were answered promptly, and the entire process was seamless and stress-free. Our guide, Richard, was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of Provence. Throughout the day, we visited so many stunning places, and the interesting insights and local recommendations made the experience even more special. The tour was well-paced, allowing us to fully appreciate each stop without ever feeling rushed. We truly had a wonderful and memorable time. The professionalism, attention to detail, and outstanding service exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an unforgettable way to explore Provence.

Magical day in Provence
My husband and I booked a private tour of Provence from Avignon with David. He was extremely helpful and made the process seamless. Then, he introduced us to our tour guide, Richard, who designed a beautiful day in Provence for us. Richard was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and we spent a wonderful time visiting the markets of St Rémy, the psychiatric hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed, the rugged hill town of Les Baux de Provence, amongst other things. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go again if back in Provence. A must do when in the region!

Private Tour in Provence Area with Imagine Tours
We saw and learned so much during our visit to the Provence area. Richard was so willing to share all his knowledge and stories and it added so much to our wonderful experience. We packed so much in to our few days and Richard’s knowledge of the area and how to get there as well as finding parking made the experiences so easy and fun. We enjoyed everything we saw and wished we had more time to follow up on other suggestions he made. We made memories having relaxed and tasty lunches which many times were thanks to Richard’s suggestions. Richard’s easy going style worked so well with ours. He likes to laugh and so do we. This was a wonderful experience.

Perfect Day Exploring Avignon Region
Had a great private excursion with Richard exploring the region around Avignon. He put together an diverse itinerary that provided memorable experiences including a wine tasting, exploring several small towns and villages and a delicious lunch next to the river in Fontaine-de-Valcluse. Richard was very knowledgeable of the area and provided many valuable insights on the sights we visited. I really appreciate the work that David and Richard do to promote the Provence area and I look forward to working with them again in the future.
