    Both tour guide and...

Both tour guide and driver are friendly, responsible and flexible. They are agreeable when there is sudden change of itinerary, without showing any sign of displeased. Despite from senior generation, the tour guide will try to bridge the gap by using some current slang. The driver is a multitasker. Despite there is miscommunication between the organiser and the restaurant, he handled it on his own while the organiser was unavailable.

    Jakarta Day Trip

Great way to see Jakarta when your stay is limited to three days. The traffic is incredibly congested and not being familiar with Indonesia, I preferred to have a professional guide. It was just my husband and myself, so we enjoyed a private tour.

Nice tour of highlights of Jakarta

Nice tour of highlights of Jakarta. My guide Rana included an extra stop of visiting the elementary school US President Barack Obama attended for two years when he lived in Indonesia. I really appreciated that. We visited the National Monument, the city’s major mosque and major cathedral, the port district, the old town with many buildings of the Dutch colonial era, a puppet theater where we received a presentation on puppet making and saw a great many types and styles of puppets (two of which I purchased as souvenirs), and Chinatown where I enjoyed a wonderful lunch. A very enjoyable day!

    Expected something better

Pleasant Guide and driver, however felt rushed and did not spend the amount of time at places as advertised (or didn’t want to). Missed puppet display as we arrived at the end. No souvenir? Lunch was pleasant. Not a full day tour and not value for money in my opinion.Paid US$256 for a couple.

    Enjoyable Jakarta Highlights Tour

Our guide, Gabby, did a great job explaining things. Her English was clear. We took this tour rather than one offered by our cruise ship. After talking with people back on the ship, we made a great decision. We scheduled this for 9am and were back to the ship by 3pm. Great driver too. It was Sunday so the morning traffic was very light. The puppet "show" was short but the puppet maker gave a great introduction to his well made puppets.

Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jakarta.

How much does Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir) cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jakarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir) take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jakarta is not rushed.

Is Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir)?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Private Jakarta Tour(Inc Lunch, Puppet show, & Souvenir) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jakarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jakarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jakarta Half-Day Guided Tour with a Private Fun Local Host, Jakarta Half-Day Sightseeing Tour To Modern City and Old Town, Active Volcano, Rice Field, Hot Spring, Fruit market, Tea Plantation with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jakarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jakarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
