    Great country experience

Great and beautiful experience with good local cultural interaction. Fajar was out guide and did a great job as did the personal driver for the day. The lunch was authentic and fantastic. A change of clothes is not really needed but some type of water shoes to change from a hiking shoe is recommended as you cross the shin deep river three times each way.

A challenging but rewarding hike to a beautiful w

Tio was a fantastic guide. Helped us cross the streams which were sometimes slippery. I had a heavy backpack which was sometimes difficult on the steeper parts of the trail. I made it to the waterfall, but realized that coming down the trail would be harder. Before I said anything, Tio offered to carry the backpack without hurting my male ego. The hidden falls were worth the effort. They had plenty of water in spite of the dry spell going on in Jakarta. The village restaurant we went to for lunch was amazing. I recommend the fish. They can accommodate vegetarians. The Botanical Garden were nice but we're not open for long by the time we got there. All in all this was a highlight of our time here?

Response from the operator: Hello! Thank you for your kind review! We're so happy that you had a great experience with Ekaputra Tour😊 It was a pleasure being part of your journey. We'll share your kind words with our team, especially with Tio. Your feedback truly inspires us! We look forward to welcoming you on another adventure in the future. From Rice Fields to Hidden Waterfalls

The overall tour was wonderful. Just as the title suggests, "Jakarta Hidden Waterfalls and Rainforest Trek," they took us to hidden places that are mostly known only to locals. Even though it was during the school holidays, we didn't encounter many tourists—most of the people we saw were locals. Pros: The vehicle was clean, and they picked us up right on time. Our driver was very skilled at navigating the winding and narrow roads to reach the trailhead before we began the hike to the waterfalls. The hike is of intermediate difficulty, so be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers. Our guide, Bryan, was knowledgeable and friendly. Along the way, he pointed out and explained many interesting local plants, including lemongrass, galangal, pandan, and durian. We also crossed several rivers to reach the waterfalls, so it's a good idea to bring water shoes or sandals that can get wet. Cons: One minor inconvenience was the restroom facilities along the way. They only have traditional squat toilets, and in some places there isn't even a sink to wash your hands. If you're not used to this type of restroom or prefer more modern facilities, it's something to keep in mind before joining the tour.

Response from the operator: Hello! Thank you for your kind review! We're so happy that you had a great experience with Ekaputra Tour😊 It was a pleasure being part of your journey. We'll share your kind words with our team, especially with Bryan and also the driver. Your feedback truly inspires us! We look forward to welcoming you on another adventure in the future. Nature experience within reach of Jakarta

The prop is very interesting re being in nature both wild and cultivated. People should know they need a certain level of fitness to walk up the river bed. It was well worth it. The guide Tio was very personable and knowledgeable guide and Aji a skilled and patient driver.

Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jakarta.

How much does Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jakarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jakarta is not rushed.

Is Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Jakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Jakarta: Hidden Waterfall Rainforest Trek & Botanical Garden Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jakarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jakarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jakarta Half-Day Guided Tour with a Private Fun Local Host, Jakarta Half-Day Sightseeing Tour To Modern City and Old Town, Active Volcano, Rice Field, Hot Spring, Fruit market, Tea Plantation with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jakarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jakarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
