We have an amazing time....
We have an amazing time. Isaac was the perfect guide. His knowledge is unbelievable. My husband is 79 and he made sure that he picked a spot that would be easier and flat for him. He caught 3 beautiful trout and was thrilled. I can’t say enough about Isaac. 😀
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this! We’re thrilled you had such an amazing experience with Isaac. His knowledge and ability to tailor the day to each guest are truly special. We love that he found the perfect fishing spot for your husband and that he landed three beautiful trout! What a wonderful memory. 😊

Great day fishing on the Gallatin river!
We had a fabulous day with Isaac fishing the Gallatin river. As beginner fly fishers,, Isaac was the perfect guide. He is extremely knowledgeable of the area and knows exactly where to fish. We pulled in over 25 fish between the two of us for the day. Isaac was an excellent teacher for us beginners, was extremely patient, and had a well thought out plan for the day.I’d highly recommend Isaac, and will be back again to do his bear and wolf excursions in Yellowstone!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a successful day on the Gallatin River with Isaac. He’s incredibly passionate about teaching and loves helping first time fly fishers build confidence while making sure everyone has a great time on the water. Catching more than 25 fish is an awesome accomplishment, especially for beginners! We truly appreciate your recommendation and can’t wait to welcome you back for one of Isaac’s bear and wolf tours in Yellowstone. We’ll be ready to help you make more unforgettable memories!

Fantastic day with Jonathan
My wife and I have been with at least a dozen fishing guides over the past five years and yesterday‘s experience was better than excellent. We hada tough morning, not catching many fish. The conditions were a bit difficult and because my wife is suffering from foot injury, our Guide, Jonathan decided to offer an audible for us. He went above and beyond to make sure we got onto Fish he was professional kind, humorous, and we had a great time. Lunch was fantastic. It was one of our better experiences with a Fishing Guide. We will definitely be back for more!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re so glad you had such a great day on the water. Even when the fishing is challenging, our guides are committed to adapting and doing everything they can to create a memorable experience. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the lunch as well! We truly appreciate your kind words and look forward to fishing with you both again soon.

Learn the Art of Fly Fishing in Yellowstone. Best day ever for my son and I!
We booked directly with Tauni, the owner of Casanova Tours. She was very responsive through the entire process, and the price was very reasonable. Isaac was our fly fishing guide for the day. He was an amazing guide and a great teacher. Friendly, patient, and explained the art of fly fishing while sharing time between both my son and I. All the gear was provided, and he took us to some excellent spots. I really appreciated his knowledge, and above all else, we learned something. If you want to learn the art of fly fishing in Yellowstone National Park book directly through Casanova Tours. Their guides are the best, and we had a fun, informative, and exceptional day learning with Isaac and catching fish. We will be back!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It was a pleasure helping you plan your day, and I’m thrilled to hear that you and your son had such a great experience with Isaac. He has a true passion for teaching and sharing the art of fly fishing, and it’s great to hear that he helped make the day both fun and educational. One of our favorite things about guiding is helping guests build skills and confidence while creating lasting memories on the water. I’m glad Isaac was able to give both of you plenty of individual attention and put you on some fish along the way! Thank you for trusting us with your Yellowstone adventure. We truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another day on the water in the future.

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for West Yellowstone.
How much does Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone cost?
+
Prices start at $475 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in West Yellowstone usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in West Yellowstone is not rushed.
Is Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in West Yellowstone, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in West Yellowstone can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in West Yellowstone and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Private Fly Fishing in Yellowstone start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central West Yellowstone within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in West Yellowstone?
+
West Yellowstone is the busiest park gateway: guided Yellowstone loops to Old Faithful and Grand Prismatic, wildlife safaris at dawn, and snowcoach or snowmobile tours once roads close. On Outty we rank every West Yellowstone experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yellowstone National Park - Full-Day Lower Loop Tour from West Yellowstone, Yellowstone Lower Loop Tour | Wildlife & Hot Springs | PRIVATE, Full Day Private Tour and Hike from West Yellowstone. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit West Yellowstone?
+
June to September for driving tours, December to March for snowcoach access. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in West Yellowstone?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
