Upon arrival at the end of the bridge, you only need to walk about 1 km or approximately 30 minutes. You will be greeted by a towering rock cliff, one side of which is flowed by water from the Cigunung River. The rapid flow of water makes the area known as Curug Sawer. Its height reaches 35 meters. This bridge was created as a means of education on nature conservation and observation of flora and fauna along the bridge path. When passing through this bridge, visitors can also see trees with the faunas. Situ Gunung Suspension Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia located in the middle of the forest. This bridge stretches 243 meters long with a width of 1.8 meters and is at a height of 121 meters above ground level. This bridge is also part of National Park Pangrango Mountain which has an area of 24,270.80 hectares.

Step one to leave Jakarta by highway and the path way to the National Park Pangrango mountain in Sukabumi with spend long hours and arrived with amazed greeny Area of mountain and start Jouney to walk on the brigde. The bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia. It is 243 meters long with a width of 1.2 meters and is located at a height of 107 meters from the ground. While you are there, you can see the view of the beautiful forest surrounded by magnificent hills.

Walking at the bridge with sightseeing the valley and arrived to hike down to the waterfall and its Lake. Curug Sawer is a waterfall that is 35 meters high and is flanked by high cliffs. The waterfall has clean and cool water. Below it, there is a natural pool that looks beautiful from a distance. Around Curug Sawer, you can see lush green trees. In addition, the air is also cool. Moreover, the sound of the waterfall makes the atmosphere even more romantic. Curug Sawer Sukabumi is an exciting natural tourism for adventurous souls. Where the place is still preserved, many flora and fauna can be found.

At the area of the waterfall enjoy the basket ride along the stone river. The Sultan's Basket is a suspended chair ride made of synthetic rattan weaving, resembling a basket. In the PurbaValley, there are two parallel Sultan's Basket tracks, each consisting of four chairs suspended on steel slings like in most flying fox rides.This Sultan's basket moves along a small river that is about five meters below it, not as high as previously imagined. The sound of flowing water and the gentle breeze creates a relaxing atmosphere. Along the way, visitors can photograph the surrounding scenery which is green and fresh. After that finished will stop to track up back to suspension bridge again, enjoy the local lunch and comeback.

Great waterfall and suspension bridges adventure
We did the full day outside Jakarta suspension bridge tour 27 Nov 2025. OMG the habitat in west Java is beautiful.... and we were incredibly happy to find ENOK was our guide. She was our guide on a previous tour a few days before, so we knew we were going to have a great day! Together with our driver Budi, Enok met us at our hotel and after an early morning start from Jakarta, we arrived at Situ Gunung and started our adventure on the back of a motor bike moped which took us a couple of kilometres or so to the starting point.... so much better than walking and all included in the tour! After our welcome drink and snack we tackled the first of 7 bridges.... this one the longest at more than 500 meters before arriving at what would be our alfresco lunch area, but first we had 6 more bridges to conquer amongst lush tropical forests to discover the twin thundering waterfalls which requires getting a little wet if you want the best photos. Its about 3 hours to cross all the bridges, and see the twin waterfalls so you will have worked up a healthy appetite just in time for a delicious lunch. But the adventure doesn't end there! After lunch it's off to the Sultan's Basket. After the suspension bridges, the Sultan's basket ride is quiet sedate and a little gimmicky but still lots of fun and there's the bonus of another waterfall. All in all a great day's adventure. On the drive back to Jakarta, we even managed a little nap thanks to Budi's smooth driving. Thanks Enok and Budi!
