Highly recommend
We would recommend this fishing charter. They set great expectations and lined out everything we’d need to know ahead of time. We had a great time with Captain Derek and will definitely be back!

Perfect day on the water
We had a great day on the water with Bryan as our captain. He was knowledgeable of the area, had a great feel for when and where the fish would be biting, and had a great personality to boot. Thinks to take - fishing liscense, bottled water, sunscreen, hats, a towel to wipe your hands on, and plastic bags to bring your catch home in. They provide pretty much anything else you need. I wouldn't think of using any other charter next time we come to Galveston to fish.
Response from the operator: AndieW321, We are so happy to hear that you had such a great time with Bryan! Our captains strive to do their very best to get our customers on the fish and impart their knowledge to you about all things on the water! They also do their very best to keep you entertained. I'm so happy to hear Bryan succeeded in that, though I wouldn't expect otherwise! Thank you so much for your kind review, and we can't wait to see you again next time! Best, Meghan

Awesome!!
Everything about this company is great from a phone call of questions to the end of the trip!! It was an amazing experience I will never forget with my family. Capt. Derek put us on fish and kept us entertained the whole time! Couldn’t ask for better! This was my best trip yet! Thank you so much Reelmen Fishing Charters!
Response from the operator: JJMartinez2223, We are so happy that you had such a great experience with us! We try our best to make sure that our captains know where to go for the fish, and that they keep you entertained while on the boat! We hope to see you again soon! Best, Meghan

I'm basically a mermaid now
As a predominantly land only kind of girl, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my first trip out would definitely not be my last. Captain Cajun Derek was a great time and made me feel like my extreme lack of any and all fishing skills was not an obstacle to having a successful trip. Thank you Reel Men Fishing for helping me gain my sea legs and conquer a new adventure!
Response from the operator: TayNicAd, We are so happy to hear that we have a new convert to the water life! Capt Derek is one of our best, and is great at making one feel like an old hand at fishing, even if it is your first time! We are very happy to hear that mission was accomplished! We can't wait to see you again out on the water! Best, Meghan

Perfect day with lots of fish
This was one of the best charter trips my friends and I have ever been on. The weather was perfect. The crew was very professional and knowledgeable about the areas to get the most fish. I would definitely recommend.
Response from the operator: Paradise05017520500, We are so happy to hear that you had such a great time! While we can't control the weather, our captains are usually right on the money when it comes to putting you on the fish!! Thank you for the recommendations, and hope we see you again soon! Meghan

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Galveston.
How much does Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston cost?
+
Prices start at $900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Galveston usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston take?
+
Plan for about 6.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Galveston is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Galveston, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Galveston can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Galveston and add a light layer if any part of the 6.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Jetty Fishing Charter from Galveston start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Galveston within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Galveston?
+
Galveston handles Houston's cruise traffic plus its own island tourism: Strand history walks, ghost tours, dolphin boats in the ship channel, harbour transfers and beach days. On Outty we rank every Galveston experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Historic Galveston Ghost Tour, Baywatch Dolphin Tours – Pier 21 Galveston, The Galveston Cemetery Tour - Walk With The Dead!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Galveston?
+
March to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Galveston?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
