    About this experience

Step into the shadows of Galveston’s haunted past as you embark on a chilling and thrilling night of ghostly tales and spirited toasts. The Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl is not your average bar hop—this is a paranormal party through time, tragedy, and twisted tales that linger in the moonlit streets of one of Texas’ most haunted cities. Your journey begins with historic local watering holes, where the drinks are cold and the stories are chilling. Led by a seasoned storyteller with a taste for the macabre, you’ll weave through the island’s old saloons, seedy taverns, and atmospheric pubs—all with haunted histories and spectral sightings to match. Raise a glass where pirates once plotted and soldiers drank their last; sip slowly as you hear about tragic love stories, vengeful spirits, and restless souls that refuse to be forgotten. Whether you believe in ghosts or just enjoy a good story with your stout, this tour is perfect for anyone looking for a wickedly fun night out.

    There wasn't many ghost...

There wasn't many ghost stories, and the stories we got were from some AI posts on social media with videos we watched. The tour guide was very nice though.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear that your guide was nice, but we’re sorry the storytelling did not meet your expectations. Our tours are designed around researched local history, haunted legends, and ghost stories tied to the locations visited on the route. We take feedback like this seriously and will review the experience internally to make sure the tour is being delivered in line with our standards.

Fun Haunted Bar Crawl with Engaging Informative Guide

This was a fantastic tour of some of the “haunted bars” in Galveston. Our guide was engaging, interesting and had an iPad where he went on deeper dives about the places we visited. He knew all the bar tenders and each had a special drink or shot we could purchase. It was extremely fun and we felt very safe with our guide. I highly recommend.

    We had a good evening...

We had a good evening wandering around Galveston, however, there is more focus on the pub crawl element rather than the ghost tour. We didn’t get to go into any of the old buildings (aside from the pubs), but our guide showed us a lot of photos on his iPad. We got some good insight into the history of Galveston and found some good drinking establishments along the way.

Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Galveston.

How much does Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Galveston usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Galveston is not rushed.

Is Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 166 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Galveston, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour?

    +

Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Galveston can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Galveston and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Galveston Haunted Pub Crawl Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Galveston within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Galveston?

    +

Galveston handles Houston's cruise traffic plus its own island tourism: Strand history walks, ghost tours, dolphin boats in the ship channel, harbour transfers and beach days. On Outty we rank every Galveston experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Historic Galveston Ghost Tour, Baywatch Dolphin Tours – Pier 21 Galveston, The Galveston Cemetery Tour - Walk With The Dead!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Galveston?

    +

March to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Galveston?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
