    Great trip

It was a fantastic trip. The visit to the capital was brief and good to see. The biking was great with beautiful scenery although we didn’t meet any locals (perhaps because it was raining heavily). There was a huge selection of food on the buffet lunch. The bamboo boats were amazing with gorgeous scenery. The climb to the dragon was much harder than expected. 500 steps makes it sound easy but they are very deep steps. Accessing the dragon is very tricky (especially when wet) and actually a bit dangerous but we did manage it in one piece. Overall I would recommend and our tour guide was brilliant, speaking really good English.

Response from the operator: Dear Claire, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the cycling, buffet lunch, bamboo boat ride, and beautiful scenery in Tam Coc. We understand that the 500-step climb to Mua Cave can be challenging, especially in wet weather. We’re glad you made it safely to the Dragon! Thank you also for your kind words about our tour guide. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Vietnam soon! Warm regards, Viet Old Quarter Travel

Ninh Binh day adventure - boating, cycling and climbing

Nam was a wonderful tour guide and made sure the tour was fun, interesting and safe - teaching us how to cross the roads Vietnamese style whilst on our bike tour :) Thank you for a day packed with adventure. Tip: bring a cushion/ jumper to sit on for the Trang Ahn boat trip as the seats are quite hard.

Response from the operator: Dear Adam, Thank you so much for your amazing 5-star review! I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the tour and had a memorable experience with me. It was our pleasure to have you on board, and I am so glad everything met your expectations. Your kind feedback is truly appreciated by me. I always strive to create unique and enjoyable travel experiences, and it means the world to know I succeeded with you. I hope to welcome you on another adventure in the near future! Ninh Binh Day Tour

We booked this tour during our visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, as the destination is a bit too far for a DIY trip, and I couldn’t be happier with the service provided. Our tour guide, Nam, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights that made the experience even more engaging. They also have free buffet lunch. If you’re staying in the Old Quarter, they offer free pick-up, which is super convenient. I also booked my Sapa sleeper bus through them, and they did an excellent job arranging everything seamlessly. Overall, we had an amazing time on the tour and would highly recommend their services!

Response from the operator: Thank you for such kind words, Kenneth! I am truly happy that you enjoyed your trip so much. I’ve worked hard to offer my customers the best services possible, and comments like this make it all worthwhile. If you’re ever visit Vietnam I’d love to serve you and your family again! Wonderful break from the city today

It was fascinating to see a different part of Vietnam and be out of the hustle and bustle of the city. In particular, we enjoyed the climb to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain - where we experienced breathtaking views - and the tranquil boat ride. The tour guide had the good foresight to switch the order of the activities and we ended with the peaceful boat ride. In the spirit of constructive feedback - I would better educate the tour guide to be more careful with his comments. Calling a client “lucky Buddha” repeatedly may be offensive, and making inappropriate comments towards women is unacceptable; e.g., asking them for a kiss, asking them to go home with him, etc. Overall though, it was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend it to others. Thanks for a beautiful time.

Response from the operator: Thank you for such kind words, Stella! I am truly happy that you enjoyed your trip so much. I’ve worked hard to offer my customers the best services possible, and comments like this make it all worthwhile. Sometimes the tour guide just tries to make the group happy so he may say something he thinks it's funny (not in a disrespectful way). I will talk again with him about your feedback so he will be more careful when he speaks to other customers. If you’re ever visit Vietnam I’d love to serve you and your family again! Regards, Viet

    Well planned, organized and executed

Wanted to share the awesome job Nam the tour guide, and our driver did today on our tour to Ninh Binh. I loved learning history of Vietnam, and the places were so interesting and the whole tour was very well organized. My friend and I had a lot of fun! Buffet was all encompassing, with lots of options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. No hitches, you won't regret the money spent. And every attraction more beautiful than the last.

Response from the operator: Thank you for such kind words, Stay64974348093! I am truly happy that you enjoyed your trip so much. I’ve worked hard to offer my customers the best services possible, and comments like this make it all worthwhile. If you’re ever visit Vietnam I’d love to serve you and your family again! Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus take?

    +

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Group Tour - Limousine Bus start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
