Great Experience!
Robert was an amazing guide! It was VERY hot and he allowed our group to go at our own pace, offering lots of water, snacks and stops along the hike and bike. He also took us to a local swimming spot on the river to cool off which was the highlight of the whole adventure! It was a real life lazy river and even had a water slide. The biking was fairly flat and required little exertion and I would recommend wearing running / hiking shoes and being of at least moderate physical fitness for the hike, especially if you are going in the heat. A special mention to our driver, Tom, who was amazing driving up and down the mountain with little to no visibility to what was coming around the next corner.
Response from the operator: Hi Robin, Thank you for your excellent review! We're very happy to hear that you had a nice experience with Robert and Tom. It's definitely a great way to freshen up in this hot season! Thank you again for sharing. We hope to welcome you back for an eventual future visit. Warm wishes from the Active Thailand team

Great!
Zak is a great guy, he knows a lot and it seems to be a pleasure for him sharing his knowledge with the group. We saw beautiful landscapes and had a nice walk and bicycle ride. Lunch and transport was fine. We loughed a lot and had many moments of smile. Recommendation! Thanks Zak !!!
Response from the operator: Thank you and please come again!

Best trip of the holiday!
We did this back in May so apologies for the delayed review! Our tour guide was Zak and he was so friendly and knowledgable! He had so much to tell us about the flora and fauna. He has a great sense of humour and really made the day special. I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our trip. It was super hot (over 40 degrees) on the day we did this trip and Zak and the minibus driver kept us well hydrated with cool water which was much appreciated!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your informative review. Our guide Mr Sak is always keen to provide participants with an extraordinary experience. Please come back perhaps during the rainy season as it is a totally different scenery.

Fabulous views and excellent guide
This tour provides a nice combination of activities and an opportunity to see different types of terrain, vegetation, and local lifestyles. Our guide Sak provided a wealth of information about different plants, insects, and traditions throughout the day. He also had plenty of snacks and water to keep us happy. This itinerary is meant for fit and active travelers. Be prepared to sweat, and remember to bring bug repellent and sun screen. Thank you for an amazing day!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review. Yes indeed, not far from the city, this trip is a great combination of nature and adventure, lead by our expert guides. A good approach to Northern Thailand's scenery on foot and on bicycles. We hope you will have an opportunity to come back and try our overnight trip. See you again.

Great day trip - we definitely recommend this!
We had such a great Day with our guide Pan! He took good care of us, told us lots of things about plants, hill tribes and Thailand in general, we could ask him everything as well. He also got plenty of water bottles, ice tea, multiple snacks and cleaning tissues for us, nothing left to ask for. Lunch at the little restaurant was enough (soup, phad Thai and fruits) and very delicious. Hiking and cycling were both very nice, beautiful places, enough brakes/rests to always feel comfortable, not too challenging but not too easy as well. The mountain bikes were really light and good to ride as well, except squeaky brakes but that was okay. Definitely recommend if you're searching for nature, beautiful landscapes, clean air and a small sports activity. Get on moskito spray before hiking and sun blocker before cycling. Enjoy!
Response from the operator: Hello! Thank you for your review and we are delighted you have enjoyed this amazing tour. Pan is really a great guide and he likes to take care of his customers. Please join us again for a wonderful trip, when you have the chance to come back to Chiang Mai.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai cost?
+
Prices start at $1600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Hike and Bike Tour from Chiang Mai start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
