    2. Kalathos

Let’s visit local ceramic factory and unfold the inside of this art right in front of your eyes The term ‘ceramic’ comes from the Greek word meaning ‘pottery’. Do you know that pottery has magic in it. Why? Because it comes from nature as a meeting of 3 elements: earth, water & fire. Earth and water are the raw materials, fire gives the objects colour and durability while human hearts and hands give them shape. Clay is the symbol of creativity, many myths describe it to be the material out of which the first men, plants and animals come to be. Every hand-made object is unique, like in life, no two are perfectly identical. Perfection is boring, there is no room to boredom in the world of Greek ceramics.

      40 minutes here

    3. Mandraki Harbour

Mandraki—the more northerly of the city’s two natural harbours—was the Military Port of the Ancient city, and later the principal ship-building yard of the Mediaeval city. It is here that folk tradition holds that the Colossus of Rhodes - one the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World once stood.

      Pass by without stopping

    4. Medieval City

Enjoy some free time in the Medieval City of Rhodes to stroll along cobblestone streets, admire the well-preserved medieval architecture, browse local shops, or enjoy a leisurely coffee surrounded by history.

      45 minutes here

    5. Old Town of Rhodes

It’s just a dream scene for someone who likes to take pictures! The Old Town of Rhodes is a very inspiring place. The medieval town of Rhodes belongs to the World Heritage and is under protection of UNESCO. It is considered one of the few best preserved medieval cities in Europe.

    Rhodes Island tour

Lindos is beautiful but streets very narrow very crowded. Walk to acropolis was very steep some 300 steps and no hand rails. Olive oil and honey stop was incredible the flavours were incredible. All wrapped on bubble wrap for safe transportation home

    DON'T BOOK

Our Tour Guide and Driver was excellent but the Tour was NOT WHAT was promised! We did have a cultural tour of sorts but THE PARADISI ISLAND WINERY DID NOT HAPPEN!! Not even their shop! The entire reason we booked this excursion was because of the "Indie" SWEET DESSERT WINE they produce. In fact, the Tour guide didn't even know that stop was included. She did call the ?? the Tour company and they gave couple a bag with a bottle of white dry wine and red wine which I can't drink. Wasn't even from the correct winery...SO DISAPPOINTED!!! We have toured Rhodes before and really didn't need to do again. The Best Part of the Day was our Tour Guide and Driver. Don't book this tour!

Response from the operator: I’ve spent 26 years working in the travel industry across 7 countries, including the US. I’ve handled all kinds of issues and complaints, but some traveler feedback still manages to surprise me. This review is one of those puzzling gems. The traveler mentions that the guide and driver were excellent but simultaneously doesn’t recommend booking the tour—am I the only one scratching my head at such bipolar feedback? 😊 As for the winery you mentioned, we’re sorry, but we have no idea what it is. In Rhodes, we have Piperis, Kounaki, Alexandris, Emery, Anastasia Triantafilou, and C.A.I.R. Wineries. In fact, the wine from C.A.I.R. was tasted and gifted to you as a complimentary treat. Apparently, all of this was disappointing because you wanted to visit some mystical, unknown winery and taste a wine that none of us —even the guide with 32 years of experience—has ever heard of. For context, there are currently 14 of us, locals in the office, and we’re all equally stumped! Safe travels and happy wine hunting!

    Great guide! Perfect tour...

Great guide! Perfect tour although not enough time in old city and delayed 1 hour as we had to wait for other ship. Did not need to stop at ceramic factory

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your feedback about our tour. We appreciate your kind words about our guide, and we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall experience. We apologize if the duration of your stay in the old city did not meet your expectations. It's always our goal to provide a balanced and fulfilling itinerary. As our tours often cater to guests from multiple ships, coordinating departure times can be a challenging task. In this instance, your ship arrived and departed an hour earlier than most, which inevitably impacted the tour schedule. Concerning the stop at the ceramic workshop, we understand that every guest has unique interests. While we acknowledge that it may not have been the highlight for you, it generally receives high praise from our patrons for the craftsmanship and cultural insight it provides. Please be assured, however, that the time spent there did not reduce the overall duration of our tour. We value your feedback and will take it into account as we continually strive to improve our services and offerings. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Best regards from sunny Greece!

    Excellent experience

Great Experience… The guide Joanna was very entertaining and entertaining… she was also very helpful to everyone. The whole experience was lovely. Just check if your hotel/accommodation is part of the pick up point but that does not affect the review

Response from the operator: Thank you Divine. It was a pleasure for us to work with you. Joanna says hello and sends best regards to you. We are looking forward to seeing you in Rhodes again!

Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.

How much does Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.

Is Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Guided Rhodes Island Cultural & Historical Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rhodes?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks, Rhodes Exclusive Swim Cruise Cocktail Open bar & Gourmet Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rhodes?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rhodes?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
