What you'll see and do
Thingvellir National Park
The first scheduled stop is right next to the tectonic plates that frame the Þingvellir National Park. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage, this site has a significant historical, geological and cultural significance. It was right here, in fact, that in 930 AD the Alþing: the first democratic parliament in the history of humanity took place. The tectonic fault that crosses the entire national park is also located right on the shores of the lake. Þingvallavatn which is also the largest lake in the nation. The time frame includes transportation.

Site de Geysir
The second stop on our journey will be in the Geysir geothermal area, located in the Haukardalur valley about an hour drive from Þingvellir. This area of fumaroles was formed about 10,000 years ago as a result of seismic events and tectonic movements, forming these eruptive cones from boiling water. Geysir is the name of the main cone of this area from which the generic name of geysers from all over the world derives. Although Geysir is currently dormant, in the same area, the geyser ”Strokkur“ erupts every 5-10 minutes on average. In this area, in addition to the Strokkur eruptions, you can sense the smell and see the colors of the crystallized minerals that mark the intense geothermal activity characteristic of the island.

Gullfoss Falls
The last main stop on our tour is the famous Gullfoss waterfall (golden waterfall). Located along the course of the Hvitá River whose source originates from Langjökull (second largest glacier in Iceland), Gullfoss is one of the most famous waterfalls on the island with its 32-meter jump. Another story about this waterfall occurred at the beginning of the last century, when investors expressed their desire to build a hydroelectric power plant, thus going to “close” the waterfall. It was precisely thanks to the environmental protest of Sigriður Tómasdóttir (daughter of the owner of the land where the waterfall is located) that this project was never carried out, still giving us the opportunity to visit this enchanting place nowadays.

Bruarhlod
Still untouched by mass tourism, the canyon of Brúarhlöð, stands out on the banks of the Ölfusá river, which originates right from the Gullfoss waterfall. This slightly less touristy canyon is a perfect destination to stop and eat our packed lunch.

Fludir
Iceland is rich in natural hot springs. In order to offer you a unique experience full of emotions, we at Elysia Tours will take you to a natural pool, outside the most touristic itineraries.

Iceland 360 degrees... many km but it was worth it!!!
Organization both internally and by Elisya tour was highly appreciated... we saw everything there was to see... clearly in this type of tour with many people, the privacy of more particular excursions is penalized a bit!! Our guide, however, made up for it a lot and took us to even less touristy places!! So... great experience!!

Beautiful Iceland. Weather unfortunately inclement.
Lorenzo was the best guide I have ever met. Helpful, kind, very well-prepared... I don't think I will have someone like him again.

wonderful
The trip to Iceland was simply beautiful, an unforgettable experience among spectacular landscapes, pristine nature, and truly evocative places. A special thanks to Lorenzo, an impeccable, competent, and always available guide. He knew how to accompany us with professionalism and friendliness, demonstrating great attention to the group's needs and maximum willingness to adapt the route and the program to our requests. His experience and ability to manage every situation with flexibility contributed significantly to making the trip even more pleasant and engaging. An experience definitely to be recommended and, why not, to be repeated!

ICELAND, what excitement
We have just returned from an exciting trip to Iceland. (lasting about ten days, with a complete tour of the RING ROAD). We first turned to Viaggi e Miraggi, which put us in touch with Francesco P. (an excellent organizer in every detail). The added value of the tour was our local guide: Lorenzo (from Elysia tour). A well-prepared, empathetic leader, a great connoisseur of the territory and the customs and traditions of the island. His guidance was always attentive and responsible, providing answers and suggestions for every eventuality. Also thanks to his stories, we got to know authentic ICELAND. A big thank you.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1823 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 61 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Golden Circle - Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
