Culture, Laughter, and Plenty of Photos
This was a great day out with friends during our cruise stop in La Spezia. We wanted a combination of sightseeing, beautiful scenery, and opportunities to explore somewhere new, and Florence and Pisa delivered. In Florence, we enjoyed the historic center, the impressive cathedral, and the lively atmosphere around Piazza della Signoria. Ponte Vecchio was another favorite, especially with the river views. Pisa was fun in a completely different way, with everyone trying to get the perfect photo with the Leaning Tower. The schedule gave us a chance to see the main highlights of both cities in one day. Naturally, there was more to explore than time allowed, but that gives us another reason to return to Italy someday. A very enjoyable experience with friends and a definite five-star day for us.

My partner and I spent our day ashore visiting Florence and Pisa, and it turned out to be one of the loveliest parts of our cruise. Florence felt wonderfully romantic, with its historic buildings, beautiful streets, and views along the Arno River. In Pisa, we had the chance to admire the famous Leaning Tower and take a few fun photos. We appreciated being able to visit two iconic destinations in one day without having to organize all the transportation ourselves. It was a full itinerary, but the variety made it worthwhile. The Kids Still Talk About the Leaning Tower
Our family had been looking forward to seeing Italy during our cruise, and this day ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the trip. We had children with us, so keeping everyone interested and comfortable was always going to be a challenge, but the combination of Florence and Pisa worked surprisingly well. Florence gave us plenty of beautiful things to see. The Cathedral was spectacular, and the kids enjoyed walking across Ponte Vecchio and looking at all the different shops. Piazza della Signoria was another favorite because there was so much to look at. We also liked having time near the Mercato Centrale, where everyone could take a little break and choose something to eat. Then came Pisa, which was probably the biggest hit with the children. The Leaning Tower looked exactly as strange and impressive as they had imagined it. We spent quite a bit of time taking the classic funny photos! There was quite a lot packed into one day, but the transportation between the locations helped make things easier. We weren't constantly checking maps or worrying about how to get to the next stop. By the end of the day everyone was tired, but in the good kind of way. We saw a lot, took hundreds of photos, and came back with some great family memories.

A Beautiful Day in Tuscany
My partner and I wanted to see Florence while our cruise was in La Spezia, and adding Pisa to the same day sounded like a great opportunity. The day turned out to be a really memorable part of our trip. Florence was beautiful from the moment we started walking through the historic center. The Cathedral was incredible, and we especially enjoyed the atmosphere around Piazza della Signoria. Walking over Ponte Vecchio together was one of those simple moments that ended up being one of our favorite memories. There was plenty of history around us, but we also had time to enjoy the streets, shops, cafés, and general atmosphere. Pisa gave us a completely different feeling. Seeing the Leaning Tower up close was something we had both wanted to do for years, and it was great to finally have the chance. Naturally, we took far too many photos! What made the experience comfortable was not having to worry about transportation between the different locations. Since we were traveling by cruise ship, getting back on time was always in the back of our minds, so having the schedule handled carefully gave us peace of mind. It was definitely a full day, but for us it was exactly the kind of day we wanted while visiting Italy.

Not a single hiccup
I'm so happy we reserved this walking tour in small groups rather than attempting to explore the sites independently. Our guide treated us more like a friend than someone reading from a script, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. The meeting point location is the only thing that could be improved; at first, it was difficult to find because it was somewhat hidden close to piazza della signoria. Rest everything was perfectly fine.
