If you are staying on the island for more than just a few days, I strongly recommend a full day at sea. We begin our day at sea ; you wake up at a leisurely hour and make your way to "Bar Gabbiano" in Marina grande, our meeting point in Capri. Once we have rounded Tiberius' Leap, we'll stop to visit the Grotta Bianca and have a nice long swim beneath the Faraglioni Rocks. for lunch: I can take you to one of the many waterfront restaurants along the coast ,including the La Fontelina beach club with a view of the Faraglioni, Torre Saracena in Marina Piccola, or Il Riccio, situated near the Blue Grotto. Enjoy the afternoon on board, relaxing and enjoying the sea and all the other grottos! Entrance to blue grotto is not included in the tour price.

White Grotta
The White Grotto, "Grotta Bianca" in Italian, is one of several scenic caves along a rugged coastline, on the eastern side of the island. It gets its name from the calcareous material that coats its sides. White stalactites hang from the roof of the high cave. The reflection off the caves and the sunlight make the water have this incredible turquoise colour.

Faraglioni rocks, the 3 spur rocks which rise up out of the sea, on the southern side of the island. These rocks each have a given name: the first still attached to the land is called Stella, the second is called Faraglione Di Mezzo (the one in between), the third one Faraglione Di Fuori or Scòpolo, meaning the head stretching into the sea.

Punta Carena Lighthouse
The Lighthouse of Punta Carèna dominates the southwestern side of the island. "Fàro" in Italian, it was built in 1866 and is the second tallest lighthouse in Italy, after Genova. Looming behind are the precipice of "La Mìgliera" lined with defense walls built by the British at the start of 1900's .Caressed by crystal clear waters and bathed in the sun all day long .

Blue Grotto
The Blue Grotto, "Grotta Azzùrra" in Italian, is a sea cave on the coast of Capri. Sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity, creates a unique blue reflection, that illuminates the cave. During Roman times, the grotto was used as a personal swimming hole of the Emperor Tiberius. Visitors will be able to enter it on small boats, provided by local personnel. Access ticket: € 14,00 p/p, not included in the tour price.

Villa Malaparte
Casa Malaparte (also Villa Malaparte) is a house on Punta Massullo, on the eastern side of the isle of Capri, Italy. It is one of the best examples of Italian modern and contemporary architecture.Casa Malaparte is a red masonry box with reverse pyramidal stairs leading to the roof patio. On the roof is a freestanding curving white wall of increasing height. It sits on a dangerous cliff 32 metres above the sea overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. Access to this private property is either by foot from the town of Capri or by boat and a staircase cut into the cliff. Casa Malaparte's interior and exterior (particularly the rooftop patio) are prominently featured in Jean-Luc Godard's 1963 film, Contempt (Le Mépris).[3]

Do not do this if it is windy and wavy, you’ll be miserable
Let me start by saying that we originally booked the 3-hour tour and changed it the day before to the 7-hour tour because we thought three hours wouldn’t be enough time on the water. The weather forecast looked great, and we were really looking forward to spending the day out on the boat. Unfortunately, the joke was on us. The day turned out to be extremely windy and choppy, and what we didn’t realize beforehand was that when it’s windy, the canopy cannot be put up. That meant zero shade for the entire trip, something we wish we had been made aware of before committing to a 7-hour tour. Within about 15 minutes, my husband and I looked at each other and asked, “Should we just call it?” We decided to try to make the best of it. We stopped to swim at one location for a few minutes, but the rest of the experience was incredibly rough. We were constantly being tossed around, with water splashing in our faces and all over the boat. Everything was soaked—my handbag, hat, towels, clothing, everything. We eventually started the long ride toward Nerano Bay for lunch. About halfway there, we asked if we could turn around and end the tour. We were told that it would get better and that we were only about 30 minutes away. Unfortunately, it didn’t get better. By that point, we were soaked, exhausted, and honestly just ready to get off the boat. Lunch was also very expensive and, unfortunately, not particularly memorable, which made the experience even more disappointing. We dreaded the ride back and ultimately asked the captain to please take us back early. The ride was still rough at first, although thankfully the last 30 minutes or so finally calmed down. My biggest feedback would be this: if guests are clearly uncomfortable and ask to turn around, please listen to them. We should have been more firm ourselves, and I think part of us was holding out hope that the conditions would improve. But after several hours of being tossed around and drenched, with no shade, we really regretted not turning back sooner. For us, we didn’t see or experience much during the 4.5 hours we were out there beyond being uncomfortable and miserable. Spending €750 for an experience that left us soaked, exhausted, and wishing we had stayed on land simply wasn’t worth it. I’m sure this can be a wonderful experience under the right conditions, and perhaps our day was just a case of unfortunate weather. But we wish there had been more communication about how the wind would affect the tour—and we definitely wish our request to turn around had been taken more seriously. Lesson learned: sometimes the weather forecast isn’t enough.

Water around Capri island...
Water around Capri island is wavy from the numerous boats. The boat being used is relatively small and it rocks up and down and side to side from the waves - making the ride uncomfortable. You do not need the 7 hours to see the island of Capri from water. Water is dark around Capri. It is not clear water like the ocean water in the Caribbean or around Cyprus or parts of Greece.

Exceptional full-day Capri boat experience from Sorrento — just as good as I remembered!
We used Gianni’s Boat Tour 10 years ago and had a fantastic experience, so expectations were high. I’m happy to say it was every bit as good as I remembered. We left from Sorrento for a full-day Capri experience, and our captain, Carmine, was excellent professional, relaxed, flexible and completely tuned into the kind of day we wanted. We told him up front that swimming was important to us, and that we were happy to skip the Blue Grotto if the line was too long. He understood immediately and shaped the day perfectly. The ride from Sorrento to Capri was beautiful, the scenery was incredible, and the swimming stops were the absolute highlight. Capri itself is stunning but very crowded, and seeing it from the water is by far the best way to experience it. Carmine gave us the perfect balance of sightseeing, swimming and time on Capri without making the day feel rushed or overly touristy. Highly recommended. This was one of the standout full-day experiences of our Italy trip.

The perfect day at sea! Affordable luxury. Couples and families will love it!
They were easy to communicate with to learn in more detail about each tour. Easy to book and accommodating when I needed to change the date of the booking. Gave very clear instructions on where to meet the day of the tour. Our boat was so nice and our boat driver Lorenzo was the best!! He was a great driver even in slightly choppy conditions, gave us information and fun stories about several unique spots on the tour. He made our day fabulous! It wouldn’t have been the same without him. Highly recommend the company and request Lorenzo! You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing private boat ride in Capri!
As a family of six visiting Capri, our favorite experience was the full day private boat tour with Giannis boat with THE BEST Captain, Antonio! Antonio took us to all the great spots to swim, explore, and learn all about this incredible island. The boat comfortably accomodated six adults and Antonio kept the vibe fun and engaging the whole trip with great music, historical facts and a smooth ride to caves and coves! Highly recommend this unforgettable tour and be sure to ask for Antonio who we are happy to call our friend!
