One of the worst trips I have ever done
I booked this trip as my last day in Rio, was very excited by the tour description and I request English as my option. 7 am was pick up time … was messaged the night before to say 7:50 am pick up … waited until 8:30 before I was picked up by coach (large tour) then took another hour to pick up more people before we started the 3 hours journey. The tour guide did not speak a word of English or Spanish … I was the only foreign person on the coach traveling solo. The tour guide made no effort to explain what was happening or the itinerary for the day … I tried to call the tour operator but no answer. Apparently the bout trip was cancelled due to weather conditions. I was alone all day with no idea what was happening .., was a very long journey and even longer with all the pick ups and drop offs. Got back by 10pm while the actual trip was 2 hours on first beach which was the only nice part of the trip, 1 hour below average lunch, one hour on another beach - which was very boring and nothing to see and 45 min sunset stop on another below average beach. No one told me how long were the stops for and had to keep an eye out for the tour guide incase they left without me!!!! very disappointed over all. Definitely not worth it and left bad taste to otherwise a very good trip in Rio.

Complete Waste - Disorganized debacle!
Do not take this tour. The worst ever. One star because I could not give 0. We were picked up an hour and a half late (tour says 7:00 am, picked up at 8:25). The tour company has no one to answer phones and no one sent us a message telling us they we’re running that late. Then we drove around Rio picking up 15 other people; then taken on a 4.5 hour bus drive. We were so late arriving (2:00 pm), that we missed the last extremely packed ferry boat. Where humans were on board packed like sardines in the height of Covid. We were lied to, and told the that the coast guard had cancelled the trips, but I overheard others saying that the last ferry was full for the day. So we didn’t even get to go. They told us they were cancelled so it didn’t look like it was because we were so late. They said they would only return $6 dollars ($30 Reais) of our money as that was all the ferry ride was worth. Even though it was the only reason we had elected to go. The guide wanted us to pay more money so we could do other things in Arraial. The other option was to drive to other beaches so we could swim on the beach, something I could have done right outside my own hotel back in Rio. The tour description says the tour is 12 hours, no, we were told we would be back between 11:00 pm and 1:00 am (18 hours, if you count from when we were supposed to leave) because of “traffic,” but we were told this only after we were 4.5 hours away from Rio. It was so bad my wife and I elected to pay $150.00 US dollars to take a taxi the 180 kilometers back to Rio… We lost an entire day of our vacation on a face-masked bus/taxi ride, and got nothing of what we planned. I’ll be fighting to get my money back, which I’m sure will result in nothing. Because there is no accountability… The whole trip is a disorganized shuttle-ride to an extremely commercialized pre-packaged, fast-food-style cattle-herding operation… that is… if you even get to do it.

Why you do that to me
Well we arrived after the 3hours ride. Then to no surprise...no boat...so I was pissed. Well they had us eat the buy more tickets for a buggy ride...I feel taken advantage of. The beaches were nice. I just want my refund for what I didn't do

Best beaches in Rio
We had an amazing guide, really enjoyed the beaches and the boat cruise was so much fun and vibrant. The drive is very long so be prepared but it’s definitely worth it

Horrible experience
Terrible trip. The description did not mention that this was pretty much a party boat. Very loud and crowded. Bare minimal English spoken by the guides. Was not meant for snorkeling. No fish and no spot to snorkel, just swim.
Response from the operator: Hello, thank you very much, at Nattrip, for your change, it is important as a reference to improve our changed attention and services, your feedback is important as a reference for us to do. We are sorry for your negative experience. We hope that one day you can come back and do another activity with us.

Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro cost?
+
Prices start at $267 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Arraial do Cabo Tour with Lunch from Rio de Janeiro start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
