Never book this trip - better to do nothing and sit in a room rather than going in this trip
If you’re not that into wines, this trip is definitely not worth at all… Adelaide doesn’t have much to see … we had informed that we were not interested in wineries… so they removed Barossa and McLaren Vale from the itinerary… we requested instead to give us a trip to Adelaide Oval and to drop us at Cape Jervis at the end of the trip … They asked for 400$ more for the drop to Cape Jervis (while Uber XL was charging 280$, which we took later)… the trip was ill-planned to the core … they first took us to the Adelaide Oval, where we were denied entry and couldn’t visit it at all… the only 2 places worth a visit are the Botanical Gardens (where we saw lots of Kangaroos strolling around) and the Hahndorf (a charming German village) … the only respite in the trip being our friendly guide, who did his best to make things work … absolutely worthless trip and the organisers just want to make some quick bucks without even thinking about their service… I would strongly recommend you not going for this trip at all… just for the reason that their vision about the trip is not clear at all … just doing it for money and no heed to customer satisfaction at all … They don’t care … should have given 0 stars if I had an option
Response from the operator: I am sorry to hear that .You have booked through Viator. But this is what you booked for. Cape Jarvis is 2 hours drive one way. we like to pay our staff fairly and that the reason we ask the charges to pay.

Memorable Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale
Peter, our driver and guide from BOS Tours was absolutely brilliant - he gave us a day to remember and tailored our trip to suit our requirements. Lovely day spent in Adelaide Hills starting with Mt Lofty Lookout then on to Hahndorf for several hours; then down to McLaren Vale for a wine tasting experience at Wirra Wirra. On our way back to the cruise ship Peter gave us a scenic drive though Glenelg and the beach suburbs of Adelaide. The four in our party had a very memorable day and can't wait to visit Adelaide in the future.
Response from the operator: Peter say Thanks Vikki he remembers your group well

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.
How much does Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $850 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.
Is Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Adelaide Private Guided Car Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Adelaide?
+
On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Adelaide?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Adelaide?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
