Great!
Fantastic trip! The guide was incredible!

Blue Eye is the star, but the rest of the tour was great too
This was an amazing experience and the perfect way to spend my last day in the Balkans. One thing to note is that it says there will be a lot of walking in their description and they are not kidding. The hike to get to Blue Eye was longer than I expected, but absolutely worth it. The information about Kanun and the blood feuds was super interesting. The last part of the tour was a little church in Theth and it felt like stepping back in time 150 years. The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and the driver navigated some narrow curvy roads like a champ. Highly recommended!

Essential Day Trip from Tirana
Absolutely incredible day trip out of Tirana! Out of tours that I did during my week, this one was essential 👌🏼 unbeatable views, great hike and swim at the blue eye, and educational at the village of Theth. This blue eye is SO much better than the eye in the south and would recommend this tour if you only have time for one. Our guide Dritan was really great, coordinated well, had interesting info to give us about history and the area, and handled any unexpected issues quickly and calmly. It’s a long day but 100% worth it!

Hike I couldn’t recommend enough!!
Gorgeous trip & hike, good for solo travel as you meet many others. Dejvi was a superb guide, full of information, history, stories and ensuring everyone got through the hike together. You can swim in the blue eye (1000% recommend) and the hike is rocky so bring solid shoes. It’s definitely worth the trip though be prepared for a long drive to and from Tirana. Lani our driver was a superstar on those roads.

Long day, not really worth it.
The day is long. The bus seats were too close to one another and we felt cramped on the long ride. Much of the bus ride is along windy mountain roads and we had to stop often for car sick passengers. The hike to the Blue Eye is longer and steeper than you think. Wear shoes with good soles. Theth village is nIce, but underwhelming. Besides the tower and the Church, there is nothing to do there. It is a long ride for an Instagram moment. The Blue Eye was beautiful, but not really worth the hike. If I had not hiked above it with the guide, I would have been really disappointed. Noone else from the group did. Daniel was an exception guide and his knowledge and ability to keep us engaged was excellent. He represented the tour and the country very well.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tirana.
How much does From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour cost?
+
Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tirana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tirana is not rushed.
Is From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tirana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tirana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Tirana/Durres/Shkoder: Theth and Blue Eye daily tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tirana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tirana?
+
On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, Kruja castle, the old Bazaar & Sarisalltik- Departure from Tirana. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tirana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tirana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
