Your day starts with a pickup by your tour guide, and then you’ll head towards Durrës. During the drive, your guide will share interesting facts and simple stories about Albania and the areas you pass. After about 1 hour, you’ll arrive in Durrës and begin a relaxed walking tour to feel the vibe of the city and learn about its history

Durres Amphitheatre
Next, we head to the Durrës Amphitheater, one of the most important ancient monuments in Albania. It is the third-largest amphitheater after those in Rome and Capua, a remarkable testament to the Roman era in this city. Although only a small part of it has been uncovered, we will have the chance to explore the section open to visitors and imagine the grand spectacles that once took place here.

After that, the tour continues to Golem Beach, the longest sandy beach in Albania. From May to September, everything is open and lively. If you’re visiting outside this period, some places might be quieter or closed, so we appreciate your understanding. The trip was a bit short, but was definetely worth the money. The guiding provided enough and not overwhelmingly too much information about Durres and gave good recommendations about the beach.

Beach day and some history
We had a nice trip to Durrës and Golem Beach with Ervin. The trip was well organized, pickup was on time and we had all the details in advance. The tour group uses WhatsApp for communication as well as emails via TripAdvisor and it made for a smooth trip. Expect crowds at the beach. We went on a Monday and it was busy but very manageable. No issues renting lounge chairs and umbrellas (1000lek for the day) - not included in the fee for the trip. This is a great way to have 3 hours at the beach without having to think much about planning or having to drive yourself in the traffic from Tirana to Durrës and Golem Beach. Expect traffic during the summer.

Albania is a beautiful country this tour didn’t show you that. Spent a long time on the coach and just passed lots of souvenir shops nothing special
