Gombori Pass is a mountain pass located in the eastern part of Georgia and is situated at an altitude of 1,990 meters above sea level. Marani Milorauli
Marani Milorauli is a winery located in the heart of Telavi, Kakheti - the primary winemaking region of Georgia. The winery has a rich family tradition that dates back to the 1930s but has recently been given a new life, producing 7,000 bottles of wine each year. Guests can visit the family hotel located close to the winery, where they can learn about the traditional wine production techniques that are still used today. They will also have the opportunity to taste Milorauli's wines and order a delicious dinner. In 2019, the company acquired a 10-hectare land in the Kakhuri Mtsvane microzone to cultivate different grape species, including Mtsvane, Kisi, Khikhvi, Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Aleksandrouli, Syrah, Montepulciano, and Tempranillo. This new land will expand the variety of wines produced by the winery in the future. Note that the winery may be changed for operational reasons, but you can rest assured that you'll be visiting a top-notch private winery.

"Odlis" is a small family-owned cheese factory that produces high-quality artisanal cheese using traditional Georgian techniques. The factory specializes in producing a variety of Georgian cheeses, including Sulguni, Tenili, and Imeretian cheese. The cheesemakers at "Odlis" use only locally sourced, natural ingredients to create their delicious cheeses. The cows and sheep are free to roam the pastures and graze on fresh grass, resulting in the production of some of the finest milk in the region. The tour of the factory includes a visit to the production area and a chance to sample the cheeses, each with its unique taste and texture. If you're a cheese lover, then a visit to "Odlis" is a must. The owners are passionate about their craft and will happily share their knowledge and love of cheese with you. Cheese and Wine experience
This trip was the experience of a lifetime. Special thanks to our outstanding guide Oksana for making this experience happen for us. The pickup and transportation was smooth, and we had the opportunity to see local history of Telavi as well, despite the snow and fog. A walk through the local farmer's style market / bazaar was enjoyable. The hosts at each stop made us feel like family, and the wine tasting was truly memorable. Getting the opportunity to experience the unique Georgian wine making in a family setting and the ability to ask questions as well as taste the wines was remarkable. The highlight of our whole trip to Georgia has to be the cheese tasting and quiet meal in a family setting at Odlisi Cheese bar. This friendly and gracious family showed their passion for their cheese business, and left us with such pleasant memories.
