⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Day Trip!
We had the best day on this trip from start to finish! Angelina was amazing Everything was organised perfectly, the sights were stunning, and the whole experience felt fun, relaxed, and memorable. A huge shout-out to our guide Tanu, who was absolutely amazing — funny, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the whole day so much better. She kept the energy high, made everyone feel comfortable, and shared so many interesting facts along the way. If you’re thinking about booking this tour, do it — you won’t regret it. We had an incredible time and would happily do it all over again!

Very long tour without the promised highlights, with a cheeky unprofessional guide
The bus arrived at the meeting point 30min late. The guide Zaza was totally cheeky and unfriendly. After 1h there was a toilet break. It was said that the bus would leave after 15min, whether everyone was back or not, the others could then order a taxi. We did not see the Cnyon, instead we were persuaded to do another tour where there were several stops where you could go to the river yourself, without any accompaniment and explanation. Lunch was good. However, 1 part of the group went riverrafting quite spontaneously, which we had not booked! The other part remained at the tables with the dirty dishes for over 2 hours. No coffee or tea was served, the power was cut off, so even the fan did not work and we just waited for the scorching heat. When asked about this, the owners of the restaurant yelled at us! When Zaza finally came back from rafting, he was just trying to stress people out again, which led to the chaotic glare. We were finally able to visit the Prometeus caves at 18:00. These are really beautiful and impressive. At the end of the cave our bus was waiting, the driver made further threats that he wanted to drive, even if not everyone was there. The others could take a taxi for 300km. The mood on the way back was in the basement. At 23:00 we were finally back in Tbilisi. We were just thrown out in the central square and not where we were charged as agreed. We were happy when it was over. Conclusion: No more! It was the worst tour we've ever been on!

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tbilisi.
How much does From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tbilisi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tbilisi is not rushed.
Is From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tbilisi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tbilisi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tbilisi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Tbilisi Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Caves Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tbilisi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tbilisi?
+
On Outty we rank every Tbilisi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tbilisi:Evening Walking & Talking Tour with Wine & Boat Ride, Kakheti Wine Region Tour + 10 Premium Wine Tastings & Sunset, Tbilisi:Mtskheta,Jvari,Bazaar, wine tasting,Chronicles of Georgia. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tbilisi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tbilisi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
