Great private Caucasus Tour
We had a great day with our guide Giorgi and driver Mikhail exploring the Caucasus from Tbilisi. Giorgi was very knowledgable and guided us through all the sites. The off-road drive to Truso Valley and the hike in the beautiful mountains were really a unique experience. Especially thankful to Georgi for explaining everything in both English and Russian, so everyone in our group could follow.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, Phillip! We are delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful day exploring the Caucasus mountains with us! Giorgi and Mikhail were thrilled to receive your kind words—Giorgi was especially glad that providing explanations in both English and Russian made the trip seamless and enjoyable for everyone in your group. The off-road adventure through the Truso Valley is truly special, and we are so happy the hike and mountain landscapes made such a great impression on you. Thank you once again for choosing us for your private tour. We wish you wonderful memories of your time in Georgia and hope to welcome you back again in the future!

Day trip
This was a great trip. It was very well organised and our guide Salome and the driver were excellent. The vehicle was very comfortable and I think the fact that it’s a short group of 6 people makes it feel special. There are several stops along the way and you get to see lot. I left a coat in the vehicle and they arranged it for me to collect in Tbilisi the next day. Wonderful people.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review, Jaime! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you had a great trip to Kazbegi and the Truso Valley. Salome and our driver were so happy to hear your kind words! Maintaining small group sizes for a comfortable and special experience is very important to us, so we are thrilled that you enjoyed the pace and the comfortable ride. We were more than happy to help reunite you with your coat back in Tbilisi! You were an amazing guest to host, and we would be honored to welcome you back for another adventure in Georgia anytime!

Best trip to Kazbegi and Truso Valley
That was exceptional trip! Koba as a tour guide did very good job and took care for all of us. Also his timing for the stops and next places to visit was excellent (we haven't got into the queue/traffic). In addition, the driver Wabko (as I wrote it properly) was good and he knows how to drive off roads and how to behave on the road, so we feel very safe during entire trip. The hoke in Truso Vally was super cool! Great atmosphere and Koba told us a lot of stories/history of Georgia. I'd do it one more time!
Response from the operator: Thank you for this wonderful feedback. We are thrilled that your trip to Kazbegi and the Truso Valley was such an exceptional experience. Koba and Wabko will be incredibly happy to hear your kind words about their work. Ensuring our guests feel completely safe during the off-road sections while managing the itinerary perfectly to avoid traffic is exactly what we strive for. It is great to know you enjoyed the local history, the stories, and the hike through the valley. We would be absolutely delighted to travel with you again whenever you return to Georgia.

Extraordinary tour!
This was an extraordinary trip — in every sense. The route and timings were well thought out, with great attention to detail, stunning scenery, and fascinating stories. In particular, our guide Koba was phenomenal — both for his kindness and his erudition. In addition, he showed great flexibility toward the group’s requests. The fact that the group was limited to six people was also a big advantage. Without a doubt, we’ll want to take our next tour with Koba again.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, Dima, and for sharing your impressions! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the trip, the breathtaking views and Koba’s stories — he'll be thrilled to hear this! Your stunning photos perfectly capture the spirit of our adventure! We look forward to seeing you again for more off-road journeys across Georgia. 🇬🇪✨

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tbilisi.
How much does From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tbilisi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tbilisi is not rushed.
Is From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tbilisi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tbilisi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tbilisi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Tbilisi by 4x4: Kazbegi Truso Valley Ananur and Gudauri start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tbilisi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tbilisi?
+
On Outty we rank every Tbilisi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tbilisi:Evening Walking & Talking Tour with Wine & Boat Ride, Kakheti Wine Region Tour + 10 Premium Wine Tastings & Sunset, Tbilisi:Mtskheta,Jvari,Bazaar, wine tasting,Chronicles of Georgia. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tbilisi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tbilisi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
