From the roadside, walk 20 minutes downhill, cross a suspension bridge over the Bhagirathi, stroll through the local market, and climb 10 minutes to Raghunath Temple, dedicated to Lord Rama (also closed 12 PM–3 PM). Vashishta Gufa, also known as Vashistha Cave, is a sacred and ancient cave located about 25 km from Rishikesh, India, on the banks of the holy River Ganges along the Rishikesh-Badrinath road. It is believed to be the meditation spot of Sage Vashishta, one of the seven great sages (Saptarishis) in Hindu mythology, who meditated here for many years. The cave is known for its serene and spiritually charged atmosphere, attracting meditation enthusiasts and spiritual seekers. It features a Shiv Linga inside and is surrounded by natural beauty including gular trees and the flowing Ganges.

The Raghunath Temple in Devprayag, India, is an ancient and revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Rama, an avatar of Vishnu worshipped here as Raghunathji. Situated at the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, which form the Ganges, the temple holds immense religious importance. Historically, it was established or rebuilt by the philosopher Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century and later expanded by the Garhwal kings. Super disappointing experience
Absolutely disappointed and angry! We booked this tour through Tripadvisor which usually means for us a trustworthy website. We booked a tour to Devprayag with some sightseeing and all. The driver was nice but didn’t really speak any English. We expected at least someone to tell us a little bit about the place and the area. Instead we drove for 2hrs silently to the place, got out went through the city without any guidance. Over there the “holy monk” at the river who does his”holy” ceremonies and blessings at the river wasn’t authentic at all and in the end even asked for a lot of money. When we gave him money that wasn’t even enough for him and he wanted to see more. Absolutely disgusted and zero understanding. I am super disappointed and will never book with this agency ever again. Zero stars!!!

During such sections, it is not appropriate to expect the driver to engage in continuous conversation or provide sightseeing commentary. Our drivers are experienced and skilled in mountain driving, but they are drivers, not professional tour guides. While they are happy to provide basic assistance and local information when it is safe to do so, their primary responsibility is to drive safely and ensure a comfortable journey for everyone on board.

I cannot recommend it
Very poor price-performance ratio. We could have just as easily booked a taxi. At 2 out of 3 promised locations, we were simply kicked out. We had to find the promised temple ourselves. I strongly advise against this tour.
