Sahara two day trip
We took a two day trip with our three kids (age range 13-17) to the Sahara sand dunes. While the trip was long (8 hrs each way) the experience of camel riding, watching the sun set over the dunes and the starry night sky made the effort well worth it. The landscape is out of this world. The peace and stillness is something you don’t experience in daily life. Hamid was an excellent tour guide, and a really safe driver, and Omar at the camp was amazing. Really lovely food, the breakfast was a real treat with everything the kids could want, and they were so thoughtful to put or beds outside, without even asking, because the tents were so warm. We were able to sleep under the starry sky.

Unforgettable Experience in the Sahara
This was the trip of a lifetime. The value for the price is extraordinary. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, we felt safe and well cared for by a knowledgable and friendly guide who drove us through beautiful towns and landscapes. The company is great at communicating and worked with us to personalize and make the most of our time. Our lone regret is that we only booked a two-night excursion and wish we had made it a few nights longer. We would book this experience again and only with this tour operator.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the kind feedback and for being our guests. We're so glad you enjoyed the tour, and we'd love to welcome you back another time. Your Sahara Feeling Team

Dessert trip
Had great 6 days with Ali. He took care of everything we needed. Made a 5h tour through Dades valley with a great view but also very exhausting. Amazing days in the dessert camp.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback and being so lovely guest. kind regards your Sahara-Feeling Team

My partner and I did this...
My partner and I did this tour in late July since we were in town for a wedding. Ali was a wonderful guide, and actually opened up the camp just for us! There was no one else since summer is the low season to go to the desert, understandably. It was really hot but Ali made sure we were comfortable on the drive (good AC) and in the desert, where he took us to an oasis during the day for lunch and gave us cold water. The stops along the way to and from the desert were a nice way to break up the drive, and Ali showed us both tourist attractions on the itinerary and things that felt off the beaten path--we really liked visiting the salt mine and seeing Lake Iriki. The highlight of the trip were the sand dunes and vastness of Erg Chigaga. We love the desert and have seen small dunes in the US, but this desert was really breathtaking and definitely worth the trek. The camp is situated right in the dunes, so we easily walked up the dunes to see the sunset. The camp felt very luxurious with the large tents, bathroom facilities, and Omar and Ali making delicious meals for us. At night they pulled out a bed so we could sleep under the stars! We were even lucky enough to see gazelles in the wild, which Ali was searching for us. This was a trip of a lifetime, highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Hi Tiffany, thank you very much for your kind feedback and being such wonderful guests. We hope to welcome you again. kind regards Helene and Ali

Finding serenity in the moroccan desert
Pros: - Mustafa our driver was very kind, he really took care of us, was a comfortable and save driver and friendly & funny, all the restaurants he chose on the way were good. - Helene for correspondence was always available when we had any questions. - The trip to Erg Chigaga was really an unbelievable experience, you definitely have to walk to the highest sand dune their for sunset (they will show you there). After a certain time you really start appreciating the serenity and pristine nature. There were not to many tourists over all. - the nomads prepared us a tajine and fresh baked bread in the desert, which was one of our best dishes in morocco Cons: - the first night we spend in a simple hotel which was not what we expected (Dades Valley), next time we would prefer a small riad over this place. There was one young waiter which was friendly but the other male workes were a bit unfriendly in our opinion. The room was clean, but beds very hard and pillows very thick.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback and beeing our guest. Kind regards your Sahara Feeling Team

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga cost?
+
Prices start at $440 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 133 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga?
+
Around 47 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Marrakech: Private Tour to Oasis and Trekking in the Desert of Erg Chigaga start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
