Very nice tour

Very nice tour. We really enjoyed it. Keep in mind that there's lots of driving and it's very cold in December so the camping is not all that comfortable. Simo, the tour guide, was excellent. He is a fantastic driver with impeccable judgement. He was always in a good mood and very patient. A fantastic fellow. All things considered, this was a great tour and highly recommended.

Magical Experience

This was a once in a lifetime trip! We had a great time. Travel- We were picked up in a central location by our van. We had a total of 20 people in our group as well as a driver and guide. We were tightly packed into the van so we all became friends quickly. Although there was a lot of driving over the 3 days, we did stop often so we were never in the van for more than 1.5hours at a time. We stopped for a few tours along the way where we met with a local guide who showed us around the location. All the local guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. It took 2 days to get to Merguza and 1 day to return, so keep in mind that the last day will be about 8-9 hours in the car. Not ideal but worth it for the experience in the desert. Food/Drink- There was no water provided, and lunches were an extra cost. You will be taken to a restaurant where there is a set price for a buffet. Plan on spending $15 per meal if you want to do that option. Accommodations- The hotel the first night is located around the Valley of Roses. It was an average hotel which met our needs for the 1 night. Desert Experience- When we got to the desert, we were given time to change into appropriate clothing and then loaded on our camels to take an hour ride into the desert camp location. We stopped along the way to watch the sun set and to sandboard. The standard camp site is very basic. If you choose the luxury, you will be taken to an entirely separate location. I'm not sure what their accommodations were like. If you pick the standard option, just keep in mind that you are camping in the desert. There were about 100 people total in the camp site, and shared bathrooms/showers were available. The next morning we woke up at 5 am to eat breakfast and head back into the desert to watch the sun rise. It was a magical experience and I'm so glad we did it.

100% Recommended.

Great trip. And very good for the price, I’d add. Hakim and Abdel were great! Abdel especially as tour guide was very knowledgeable. He and the Berber guide who showed us the fields and canyons, I felt, were particularly patient and empathetic. An issue that arose at the camp was dealt with appropriately. I’m quite impressed with the response/outcome which raises my review from a 9/10 to a 10/10. If a friend of mine were visiting Morocco I’d 100% recommend this trip. Many thanks 🙏

Amazing tour!

This tour was amazing! I got to see a side of Morocco I would have never been able to on my own. The tour guide Ali and the driver were personable, funny, helpful, and made me feel at ease as a female solo traveler. They were punctual and the tour was well organized. The desert camp is beautiful but be prepared for the heat. It is a desert after all lol. The only complaint I have which is why I gave 4 stars is the hotel we stayed in the first night. It did not meet the standards the rest of the trip upheld and I would recommend they find another hotel owing forward. It was too old. Otherwise, this trip was an amazing way to get a feel for the real Morocco!

From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes cost?

+

Prices start at $169 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes?

+

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Marrakech : 3 Days Desert Tour To Fes start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
