Fabulous Views
Enjoyable walk with fabulous scenery. Trainers were fine. The best part is the final mile 😀. Our driver was fun, spoke great English and collected us at the end of the trail.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! 😊 We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the spectacular scenery and that the final stretch of the Caminito del Rey was such a highlight! 🌄 It's also great to know your driver helped make the day even more enjoyable with their friendliness and excellent English. We hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable adventures in Spain! 🇪🇸✨ The team Discovering Spain

Well worth doing
Miguel was a friendly driver and ensured we made the tour on time, and provided clear instructions on where to meet him at the end once we were ready. The tour of the Caminto del Ray was a liesurely walking pace, but at times felt rushed due to the narrow pathway and need to maintain contact with the guide so that headphone signal remained connected. The experience and hike was great, but my preference in future would be an unguided walk at own pace.
Response from the operator: Dear Tim, Thank you for sharing your experience! 😊 We're delighted to hear that Miguel helped make the day run smoothly and that you enjoyed the spectacular Caminito del Rey route. We also appreciate your comments about the guided format. Due to the nature of the pathway and group management requirements, guides need to maintain a steady pace so everyone can follow the explanations. We're pleased that, despite this, you had a great experience and enjoyed the hike. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure in Spain! 🌄🇪🇸✨ Best regards, Discovering Spain

Great experience!
Staying in Granada, we had a hefty drive to get to the Caminito del Rey but Jose was a fantastic driver. Clean car and pleasant conversation (but allowed us a siesta too). He also got us into an earlier tour since we arrived earlier than expected. Our guide on the walk was good, imparting information and with a touch of humor. He was sensitive to those who were afraid of heights. Hubby has a little fear but even he didn’t think this walk was scary.
Response from the operator: Hello! What a wonderful and detailed review! We're so happy to hear that your Caminito del Rey excursion from Granada was a "Great Experience!" It's fantastic to read about the excellent work of José, our driver. We're pleased that the vehicle was clean and that he balanced pleasant conversation with respect for your well-deserved rest (siesta!). Furthermore, his proactivity in arranging an earlier tour for you is something we greatly appreciate. We're also glad that your guide on the Caminito was good, sharing information with a touch of humor and being sensitive to your fear of heights. It's a great relief to know that, even with a bit of fear, the hike wasn't terrifying for you. We sincerely appreciate your review. We hope the memories of this spectacular adventure will stay with you for a long time! Best regards, The Discovering Spain Team

Well worth it
We took the Caminito del Rey day trip from Granada with Discovering Spain, and overall, it was a great experience. Communication with the tour agency was smooth, and we had no trouble locating the meeting point using Google Maps. Our group was small—just four people (2+2)—so we traveled comfortably in a sedan. Our driver, Manuel, was friendly and spoke English well. During the 1 hour and 45-minute ride, he provided an informative overview of Granada and the surrounding areas. Upon arriving at the Caminito del Rey parking lot, we had a 20-minute walk to the actual entrance of the trail. Manuel took care of our tickets, made sure we were in the right line, and then departed. From that point, the official park guides took over. Each participant was given a helmet and a wireless receiver with a headset, ensuring we could hear the guide clearly throughout the hike. The walk itself was relatively easy, following wooden and rock pathways along the mountainside. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking—no photo or video can truly capture it. The only real challenge was the heat. It’s essential to bring plenty of water, dress lightly, and wear comfortable sneakers. One unexpected aspect was that after the official guided portion of the trail (which lasted around 2 to 2.5 hours), we were left at a point that required an additional 30-minute walk to reach the exit. Just beyond that point, there's a vending machine with cold water—don’t skip it! An ambulance is stationed near the exit for those affected by the heat, underscoring the importance of staying hydrated and protected. Despite the heat and fatigue, the stunning views made it all worthwhile. Manuel met us at the exit and gave us time to rest at a shaded café area before driving us back to Granada. The entire trip took about 7.5 hours, with approximately 3 hours spent commuting and the rest at the park. I highly recommend visiting Caminito del Rey, and Discovering Spain made the journey smooth and convenient.
Response from the operator: Hello! What a fantastic and detailed review! We're so happy to hear that your Caminito del Rey excursion from Granada was a great experience and that you consider it "Well Worth It." We're pleased to read that communication with our agency was smooth and that you had no trouble finding the meeting point. It's great that your small group size (only four people) allowed for such a comfortable trip. We're proud to know that Manuel was friendly, spoke excellent English, and that the 1 hour and 45-minute drive was so informative, providing you with an overview of Granada and its surroundings. He also took care of your tickets and had you ready at the entrance to the Caminito del Rey. We're glad that you found the Caminito del Rey hike relatively easy and that you found the scenery absolutely stunning. Knowing that the headphones and wireless receivers ensured you could hear the guide clearly is important to us. We appreciate your advice about water, light clothing, and comfortable shoes; they are very helpful for future visitors, especially in the heat. We understand that the additional 30-minute walk to the exit and then the other 30-minute walk to the shuttle was unexpected and could have added to the fatigue, especially in the heat. That's why Manuel waited for you at the exit and gave you time to rest in a shaded area before returning to Granada. Your feedback about these distances is very valuable and helps us emphasize this information even more. In the end, knowing that, despite the heat and fatigue, the spectacular views made it all worthwhile and that you highly recommend visiting the Caminito del Rey with Discovering Spain, making the trip smooth and convenient, is the best reward for our entire team. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Andalusia in the future! Best regards, The Discovering Spain Team

A bucket list top contender.
Excellent views and a marvellous of engineering. If a hot day ensure you have plenty of water and snacks. There are some steep steps up and down. So if you have any injuries or difficulties you may need to reconsider. This also goes for if you have a fear of heights. Overall an excellent day trip. We had and excellent driver which made the 2hr trip each way more enjoyable. He had an excellent knowledge of Spain and Granada.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Granada.
How much does From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets cost?
+
Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Granada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Granada is not rushed.
Is From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Granada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Granada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Granada and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Granada: Caminito del Rey Guided Tour & Guaranteed Tickets start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Granada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Granada?
+
On Outty we rank every Granada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Granada: Sierra Nevada Safari tour up to 2500 meters high, Granada Tapas and Wine Small Group Tour, Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Granada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Granada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
