    Nightmare

We were stranded in the Swiss Alps with no guide. This was the absolute worst travel experience of my life. It cost an additional $1,000.00 to get back to Lake Como. NEVER book this tour! NIGHTMARE!!!!

    Alpine Wonders !!

We had very little time to enjoy the lunch at Diavolezza as we had to drop off others before and were held up by someone taking extra time at the breakfast stop. So lunch was rushed in order to catch the train. Better planning should be looked into. But the time we did spend was amazing.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your time at Diavolezza, though we're sorry the schedule felt rushed. We appreciate your suggestion for better planning and will review our itinerary to ensure a more relaxed experience for everyone. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Frigerio Viaggi

    Avoid This Trip!

Avoid this trip! We went in this tour and the bus got stuck in traffic for two hours, which is not the organizer’s fault. But they handled it all so poorly. We never got to do the lunch or the cable car, only the train. And they then would only refund us $35 each despite all we missed. On top of that, the guide never told people there would be no lunch until it was too late to get food on our own. And we asked him which side of the train to sit on for good views and he said it didn’t matter. That was completely wrong. Right side had all the views. What a disappointing day!

Response from the operator: Buongiorno, thank you for your considerations. As already explained, we would like to clarify that the refund issued reflects the precise difference between the cost of the tour to Diavolezza you purchased and the regular Bernina Express train tour (which is the tour you had due to the delayed bus). While it is correct that the visit to Diavolezza and the lunch were not part of the experience, the tour provided gave you the opportunity to board the Bernina Express with a panoramic carriage, a premium train that was not part of your original booking and comes at a higher cost. We hope this explanation provides clarity and thank you once again for your feedback. Frigerio Viaggi

    An awesome experience

We felt like we were on top of the world. It was wonderful! The weather was great, and the included lunch at the lodge of Pizzoccheri was a new and delicious experience. Monica was a great guide and had a lot of knowledge on different subjects that she shared. I would highly recommend the experience!

    +

That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Lake Como, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Como can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Como and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Lake Como?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lake Como experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Lake Como & Lugano: 2 Countries in 1 Day, Boat Cruise, Como, Bellagio & Varenna: Small Group from Milan with Boat Cruise, Small-Group Lake Como: Bellagio, Varenna, Hidden Gorge & Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lake Como?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lake Como?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
