Bordeaux by Bike
Quite simply, one of the best days of our trip. From start to finish, everything about this tour was exceptional. Starting from Bordeaux, the whole day was completely seamless. The bikes were superb and the cycling itself was wonderfully easy and relaxed, taking us through picture-postcard vineyards and stunning Saint-Émilion countryside. If you're imagining yourself gently cycling between rows of vines with beautiful châteaux appearing around every corner, glass of wine never too far away… that's pretty much the day! We visited two vineyards for tastings, both excellent. Each tasting was different, delicious and expertly guided, without ever feeling overly serious or stuffy. Lunch was another highlight: an amazing cheese and charcuterie board accompanied by, yes, more wine, enjoyed outside in the shadow of a château. It was one of those moments where you look around and think, does a day actually get much better than this? We then headed into Saint-Émilion for our final tasting with Cedric, who was brilliant. He struck exactly the right balance between being incredibly knowledgeable and informative while also being relaxed and funny. We tasted four wines from different vintages, including one costing nearly €100 a bottle, which made the experience feel particularly special. And a huge mention must go to our fantastic Latvian guide, Jorens, who was superb throughout. Knowledgeable, personable, entertaining and clearly passionate about the area and its wines. A great guide can make or break a tour like this, and Jorens absolutely made it. Beautiful scenery, effortless cycling, fantastic wines, delicious food and brilliant company. The entire day felt incredibly well organised without ever feeling rushed or regimented. If you're staying in Bordeaux and want to experience Saint-Émilion and its vineyards, I honestly can't think of a better way to do it. The company makes everything ridiculously easy. You simply turn up and enjoy one perfect experience after another. Highly, highly recommended. An absolutely perfect day. 🍷🚲🍇
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review. We’re delighted that every part of the day—from the relaxed cycling to the final tasting—felt so special. Jorens and Cédric will be very touched by your kind words!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highlight of our Bordeaux weekend!
We did the Saint-Émilion Food & Wine Day Tour as part of a hen weekend and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. From start to finish, the whole day was fantastic – beautiful vineyards, plenty of excellent wine, a gorgeous picnic lunch and time to explore Saint-Émilion itself. The day was really well paced and never felt rushed. A huge part of what made it so enjoyable was Yev, our guide. He was absolutely brilliant – incredibly knowledgeable about wine and the Bordeaux region, but also warm, funny and engaging. He explained everything in a way that was genuinely interesting without ever making it feel like a lecture, and he was great fun with our group. You can tell he really knows and loves what he does and showed us spots we’d have never found on our own. We went into the day expecting some nice wine and beautiful scenery and came away having learned loads, laughed a lot and had a genuinely memorable day together. If you’re visiting Bordeaux, I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough – and if you’re lucky enough to get Yev as your guide, you’re in for a great day. 🍷🍇🇫🇷
Response from the operator: What a wonderful review, thank you! 🍷 We’re so glad the tour was a highlight of your hen weekend. Yev will be delighted to hear your kind words! Thanks for joining us and for the fantastic recommendation. 🍇

From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bordeaux.
How much does From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $165 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bordeaux usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bordeaux is not rushed.
Is From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bordeaux, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bordeaux can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bordeaux and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Bordeaux : Saint Emilion Food and Wine Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bordeaux within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bordeaux?
+
On Outty we rank every Bordeaux experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Saint-Emilion Electric Bike Day Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch, Saint-Émilion Afternoon Tour - 2 Grand crus & French apéritif, "Bordeaux by bicycle: a 3-hour tour immersive experience". The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bordeaux?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bordeaux?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
