    Number one

The tour was amazing. AG picked us up at our location and brought us directly to Bromo and then to Ljien. The road was very long but AG really knows how to entertain us. He’s kind, professional, funny and always gave us the best recommendations. He was probably the best part of the trip

    Amazing Java itenary

My husband and I took a customized Borobudur to Bromo tour that was fabulous. We extended it by starting in Jakarta, and then took a delightful Executive Class train trip through beautiful Java scenery to Yogyakarta. We were met at the station by our excellent guide Mr. Andilala of Ayla Tours, aka Yogyakarta Tours, and by our highly professional and experienced driver Mr. Sofian (phonetic). We were taken to the luxurious Amata Resort Hotel, near the 9th century Borobudur Temple we got to visit the next day. The next day we were driven up a dormant volcano to the humongous Dieng Plateau, it’s still active supersized crater. This was followed by visits to the Sultan’s Palace in Yoyakarta and the extensive Prembaran Hindu temple site. Off we went to yet another unforgettable highlight of our Java itinerary: Mount Bromo Volcano National Park. The Lava View Hotel we stayed in may not be luxurious, but it has THE BEST location right at the outer rim of the Mt. Bromo Crater. The sunset views over three inner craters and Mount Meru in the background are spectacular! Since we are not early risers, we chose to go later in the morning to the highest overlook. It was nonetheless a wonderful experience! We chose not to include the Ijen Crater in our itinerary as we could nit envision ourselves getting up at 1 a.m. As requested, we were instead dropped off in Surabaya from where we travelled independently to Bali. All told we had a very positive experience with Ayla Tours / Yogyakarta Tours and their arrangements, except perhaps the hotel choice in Jakarta (Hotel Jambuluwuk) and the inexperienced young driver who picked us up from the airport and eventually got lost in the downtown maze and horrible traffic. However, to end on high note, everything else was greatly enjoyable and very well organized.

Response from the operator: Dear Mrs Pauline We Happy you enjoy the trip Thank you for use our services Thank you Andi

Excellent personal attention to details, well planned with a degree of flexability for personal interests.

My wife and I have travelled extensively around the world, and we both thought Mr. Wawan was probably the best guide we’ve ever had on any tour. He was very attentive, allowed us to explore options of interest enroute, and went well beyond what one might have expected of his job. We both now consider him a friend rather than a guide. Beyond that, Mr. Andi was the overall tour operator who seemed to check in with Mr. Wawan on a regular basis to ensure all was well. Together, we felt well taken care of throughout the trip. The itinerary itself was well planned, with a mix of cultural and natural sites and points of interest. All hotels clean, adequate and located near daily attractions. The one near Ijen was actually surprisingly plush. Overall, we can recommend this tour without qualification. That said, if you can ask to have Mr. Wawan as your guide, his English was excellent, and you will be treated like a personal guest.

Response from the operator: Dear Mr Tantra We are very happy to hear about your satisfaction with the tour we provide. Have a nice day Thank you Andi

From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yogyakarta.

How much does From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yogyakarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yogyakarta is not rushed.

Is From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yogyakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yogyakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yogyakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Bali: 4D3N Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yogyakarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Yogyakarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Yogyakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yogyakarta Private Car Hire with Driver, From Surabaya / Malang : Mt Bromo Sunrise - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N, Borobudur Full Climb Up And Prambanan ALL INCLUSIVE PRIVATE Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Yogyakarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Yogyakarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
