Our wonderful time with Giorgos visiting Delphi and the Hosios and Loukas monastery.
I went with my grandparents to visit Athens for a short time. While we were there we had booked with Giorgos, who is very friendly, talkative and knowledgeable about the country and the sites we visited. We visited the oracle of Delphi and the Hosios and Loukas monastery. There was no admission fee for the monastery, but there was for a small museum on side. There was however a dress code to cover knees and shoulders, but skirts were provided for those who don’t meet these requirements at the time of visit. After walking around Delphi, he was quick to find us with the car again despite it being quite busy. The admission fee for the archeological site and the museum of Delphi 20 € a person. Giorgos was very accommodating with my grandfather who has limited mobility (walks with a cane). After we stopped for lunch at a restaurant Giorgos recommended and it was delicious! On our way down the mountain, we stopped at a scenic view of the town of Arachiva, at Giorgio’s suggestion, and it was wonderful view. To those who struggle to walk up many flights of stairs I would not recommend this as Delphi is at the top of many steps, but I believe it was worth it. Would definitely use this service again!
