Excellent experience for our family of 5 - Lodges were great, food was local but plenty and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our amazing tour guide Peter, who made sure we were all comfortable and safe, took us to the best spots around and was a pleasure to travel with.

Unforgettable safari with amazing wildlife; Excellent guide; Food and acommodation rather basic but OK given location

The trip consisted of a (relatively short) excursion to Tarangire park, followed by a drive along the magnificent shore of the Manyara lake, and then a very extensive exploration of the Serengeti National Park (Central, North with the Mara river, and South with the beautiful saltwater Ndutu Lake. Second last day a visit to Ngorongoro. Last day a visit to a Masai village. Overall, we are very happy with our trip. We have seen all three big cats several times in the most beautiful settings (4 times leopard, 3 times cheetah and numerous occasions with lion). Smaller but not lesser: serval cat (2x), honey badger (1x). Numerous hyena, crocodile, hippo, buffalo, giraffe, elephant, baboon, hyrax, ostrich, secretary bird, the three species of mongoose as well as jackal, and several species of antelope (topi, Grant’s and Thompson gazelle, hartebeest, dikdik, reedbuck, waterbuck…). The exceptional number and diversity of high-quality sightings no doubt is largely thanks to our great guide, Raphael, who was passionate to show the wildlife of his beautiful country, a very experienced driver also, with the eyes of an eagle, never tired of making yet another detour with the hope to show us something remarkable. Very pleasant and friendly company, sharing so much knowledge about the wildlife, the landscape and history of Serengeti. I strongly recommend taking him as your guide and driver! In general, the accommodation was good, especially taking into consideration the location and circumstances. Employees friendly and helpful. The food was OK but rather basic and a bit monotonous. The land cruiser was a very powerful, spacious and comfortable vehicle, ideal for such trip. However, there was one hotel (property of the company), at Karatu, nearby a large landfill where waste was burned day and night. This created huge clouds of foul-smelling smoke which, whenever the wind blew in the wrong direction, would drift over the hotel, the swimming pool, and the open-air restaurant. One night, the stench of burning plastic lingered in our room for hours. Although the hotel itself was not responsible for this, such a situation is simply unacceptable — neither for the guests, nor for the staff who are constantly exposed to it (let alone the people living in the surrounding area). It is high time for the hotel management to address this issue, perhaps in cooperation with other hotels in the area to support local politicians in organizing an alternative waste disposal system. I will certainly not return to that place again!

Great Tour to see the Wildlife!

We just completed a 2 week safari in Tanzania that we booked through Paradise & Wilderness. Our booking agent Anouk was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions before and during the trip. The experience was excellent! We stayed at multiple lodges during our trip. We found them all to be clean and the staff friendly and accommodating. We were also able to easily book additional activities during the trip. Our jeep driver Lazaro did an outstanding job taking us through the various parks and helping us to see and learn about the animals. The food was very good and the staff at all of the lodges did a great job of accommodating my special dietary needs. A special thank you to the Lake Manyara Lodge chef and his staff who really went out of their way to ensure that I was satisfied with all of my meals. Overall, I highly recommend Paradise & Wilderness and hope that I can one day go there again!
