Overbooked Activity
Viator overbooked the activity. It was planned for our final day in Amsterdam and when we arrived, the tour company had no record of our booking. We had to buy new tickets directly and are still working with Viator for a refund. Be cautious when booking last minute.

Just go for the basic bus+ticket option.
The gardens were nice enough -- the flowers were in full bloom, and I didn't know there were that many different types of tulips! The bathrooms were clean and plentiful. However, I'd suggest just getting the bus and entrance ticket instead (much cheaper). The "audio tour" was simply 5-6 little bits of trivia (the audio track was otherwise silent), and the sights they pointed out were nowhere around at the point they were discussed. I also paid extra for a live 30-minute tour but this was never given, so I wandered around the park on my own and made my own way off. The tour operator did not respond to my message (although the staff at the departure point were lovely), but thankfully Viator's customer support followed up and secured a refund of the extra charge.

Very convenient way of getting to see the marvelous tulip display in April
We deliberated in using public transportation instead of buying this tour, but upon seeing the numbers of people that go to this garden and the long line ups at the airport for the bus to Keukenhof, I know we made the right decision to use this company to get to KG. It was good use of our time and the price was not that much more. I would use this company again for tours. We experienced no problems when we bought our online tickets (39E) months in advance for round trip transportation from Amsterdam to Keukenhof Gardens plus Garden admission from Lindbergh Tickets and Tours. At home, we printed out our tickets along with a map of the Amsterdam train station which showed exactly where the meeting point was for this tour so there was no confusion. At the train station, on the East side at the back, Lindbergh Tours has a ticket office and the meeting point is there as that is where the bus leaves from. They have many tours leaving to different places around the same time, but the company has organized the waiting space so that people know exactly where to queue for their tour. I recommend being 20-30 minutes early prior to the departure time stated on the ticket as the group leaves about 15 minutes before departure stated on the ticket to the awaiting bus a short walk away. The bus then leaves at the time stated on the ticket. The company uses a comfortable double decker Grayline type bus that parks very close to the Garden gates and waits until the departure time at 1:30. We got to the gardens around 10ish after leaving at 9:30, but the trip home seemed to be longer due to traffic around the KG. We were finished touring the garden on our own in 2 1/2 hours and had time to spare to have a quick lunch on site. This tour has no guided walking tour through the gardens which really is not needed as people wander around at their own speed. We did pass some tulip fields on our way to KG and there were some also surrounding the park. The personable driver spoke English and gave some interesting tidbits of information as he drove. We did this tour April 22, 2019. Tulips and muscari display were tops; daffodils had gone over, but later blooming narcissi were evident in one section only. Maps of the garden are freely given out at the entrance. 3 pavilions offer hot foods while 2 offer coffee and sweets. All have WC with no queuing needed. Large gift shop at the entrance where pre-packaged bags of tulips are available for purchase. Inside the garden, there was a kiosk where bulb orders could be placed. Loved this tour of the KG - convenient bus trip, lovely garden, sunny day - despite the crowds who also were there, like me, to enjoy the beautiful tulip display.

Amazing
Went while the tulips and other flowers were in bloom and had one of the most amazingly beautiful days. While some may get bored with sightseeing of flowers, this was one of the most gorgeous sites I have ever seen. I recommend this in the spring while everything is in full bloom. The gift shops are nice and items not as expensive as a lot of gift shops in Europe. The afternoon as we were getting ready to leave was a bit hectic and many tour buses arrived and tourists were everywhere. I would love to go back. Bring a nice camera
Response from the operator: Dear Alaina, Thank you for your enthusiastic feedback. We are happy to hear that you are true flower fan and you enjoyed exploring the park.Especially on such a lovely day. Now we are getting into the high season we understand that it can get a bit busier especially in the parking lot with different buses. Hopefully, your guide was able to help you in the right direction so you could find the right bus easily:) We hope to see you again next year for another great day. KInd regards, Lindbergh Day Tours

this place is just stunning.we went mid april 2018 and they had told us not every field of tulips had come to fruition.but 95% i was happy with.it one of the must do things if your a tourist. very very busy but like every person there it was what made my trip to holland. lots of dogs on leads and plenty places to eat or just grab a cool drink. if you only live long enough to see one thing in holland then this is the place you should be heading for. tickets for anything are so easy to get for anywhere in amsterdam. i cannot put into words how much i loved this place,i hope heaven is like this and smells as good as here.there is something here for every age and good facilitys for disabled. not only outdoors but indoors too.i found it very warm indoors.if you appreciate floral beauty then go to this place.
Response from the operator: Dear Stehalk1963, Thank you for writing this wonderful review! We are delighted to read you had such an amazing time at the Keukenhof. The Keukenhof is indeed a magical place, especially when the sun is out you can walk around for hours just enjoying the marvellous view, the colours& the wonderful scent of the flowers, a unique and as you say a must do experience. We agree if Heaven could look like anything this is definitely a great option :) With kind regards, Lindbergh Day Tours

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option take?
+
Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Ticket, Transfer & Live Guide Option start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
