About this experience

The Frida Kahlo Museum, called La Casa Azul, is the Intimate Universe of Frida Kahlo. The artist lived most of her life here, initially with her family and later with Diego Rivera. Frida wanted to leave her home as a museum, to be enjoyed by her beloved Mexico. For this reason, after her death, Diego organized here, the Frida Kahlo Museum. Since the Museum’s inauguration in July 1958, it exhibits the ambiance that inspired Frida for her creation, as well as her personal belongings. You will find paintings by both artists with popular art pieces, pre-Columbian sculptures, photographs, documents, books, and furniture. The garden is an essential part of the Blue House, and it gives you access to the exhibition of Frida’s Dresses. With this ticket, you'll have the opportunity to enter Frida Kahlo's world and skip the lines at the ticket office.

Beautiful- must go

Wonderful experience. There was art making for kids in the garden that we'll never forget. My 4-year-old didn't want to leave!

Misleading Third Party Purchase

I booked through Tiqets.com via Amigo Tours. I purchased two tickets for Aug 6 at 16:30 for the Frida Kahlo museum in Mexico City. I payed at 12:15 day of. My tickets were not processed until 15:45. It is a 45 minute car ride from where we’re staying to the museum. Why would I go to wait at the museum with no tickets confirmed ? I called and emailed multiple times and they still did not send the tickets earlier. Hilariously the support through Tiquets told me my tickets wouldn’t arrive for 24 hours, 5 hours before the tour. So I payed $60 USD for nothing. This service works. But only if you book 24 hours in advance. Do not book same day. If I could give zero stars I would, as I had zero experience.

* Avoid HelloTickets: Our Frida Kahlo Experience Was Ruined

I will never use amigo tours & HelloTickets ever again. My family and I purchased tickets to visit the Frida Kahlo Museum while we were in Mexico City. We selected a specific date because we were only in town for a limited time. When we arrived after taking an Uber nearly an hour to Coyoacán, we were told at the entrance that our tickets were actually for the following day—the day we were flying home. We never intended to book that date, and it made our tickets completely unusable. We paid for transportation to and from the museum only to be turned away at the door, and our family missed the opportunity to visit one of the main attractions we had planned our trip around. We had previously tried purchasing through another ticket provider, and when tickets for our preferred date were unavailable, they refunded us. In contrast, HelloTickets processed our order for a different date that did not work for us. After this happened, I found numerous posts on Reddit and Facebook from other customers describing similar experiences involving unexpected date changes. HelloTickets refused to resolve our issue, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. Based on what happened to our family, I cannot recommend this company. We lost $232 dollars. Extremely disappointed and upset, ruined our trip experience and they basically stole our money. I will definitely make a social media post to the 20 million followers I have on my socials. In both languages since I am bilingual!. So other people don’t get scammed like we did.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to learn that your visit did not go as expected. Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide cost?

+

Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide take?

+

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 196 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide?

+

Around 69 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
