Highlight of our trip
Outstanding tour with Stivi—the highlight of our visit to Tirana My wife Angela and I spent almost three thoroughly enjoyable hours exploring Tirana with Stivi Xhako, and it was unquestionably one of the highlights of our time in Albania. Stivi is a charming, intelligent and engaging young Albanian who is clearly passionate about his city, his country and his work. He brought Tirana’s complicated history and remarkable transformation to life in a way that was informative, balanced and completely accessible. Nothing felt rehearsed or mechanical: he welcomed questions, gave thoughtful and honest answers and made the entire walk feel more like exploring the city with an extremely knowledgeable local friend. His warmth and good company were every bit as memorable as his knowledge. The three hours passed remarkably quickly, and we finished the tour with a much deeper understanding of Tirana and Albania than we could ever have gained by walking around alone. Stivi is exactly the kind of passionate young local guide whom visitors should support. We cannot recommend him highly enough. If you are visiting Tirana, make this tour one of the first things you do—and ask for Stivi.

Fantastic tour!
We were lucky to be the only two people on Stivvi’s tour! We had a wonderful walk around Tirana, going well over the two and a half hours. Stivvi is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and obviously loves what he does. It was one of the best tours we have ever done. We felt like we had a new friend at the end of it :) 100% recommend, and we hope to be back for another of his guided walks.

Excellent tour with a perfect guide
If you are lucky enough to have Stivi for your guide, you will not be disappointed! Stivi is incredibly knowledgeable about Albanian history, culture and architecture while also being personable. He loves introducing visitors to Tirana and it shows. In addition to the major landmarks of the city, he pointed out many small details that we would have missed like the whimsical Do Not Enter street signs. Our group had only three of us, so it felt like a private tour for little more than the price of his tip. He also gave us restaurant tips and other useful information. Skip the big tours for this one instead. Two thumbs up for Stivi.

Learnt alot about the history of Albania and triana. Relaxed walk.Stivi knew his stuff and was very friendly. Would recommend. He also suggested some excellent resturants to try and where to get the best photos.
