Shooting Hanoi in a different way.
I truly enjoyed the "Frames of Hanoi" photowalk, especially spending time with Thai, the guide. Since im not really into "street photography", he taught me a lot of techniques and concepts that will help me improve. I also enjoyed the stops where we had breakfast and coffee. There were a lot of insights since it was a one on one photowalk.

Professional, pleasant and productive
It was my first time to work with a professional photographer tour and the results were amazing. Son has a keen sense for framing. I learned a lot from him. The whole logistics arrangement and hospitality are also top notch. Highly recommend if you are ever in Hanoi for photography. I would definitely work with Momentlives in my next trip to Vietnam.

Great insight into local scene
A unique experience exploring Hanoi streets with a seasoned photographer. Son ensured the experience was incredibly professional, punctual in morning pick up in a great car, taken to an area that was a locals hotspot. We started at the train street which was away from old quarter, took our time exploring the market, side alleys, interacting with locals as we shot the bustling street. Son provided great insights into local life, culture and at the same time pushed me to take my time with shots, paying attention to composition. We stoped by for some refreshments, and food along the way. Son is wonderful company, he’s incredibly professional and friendly. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to explore the local scene outside of the old quarter and engage with the locals. - they’re much more friendly than you may think!

An exceptional photographic experience in the heart of Hanoi
During our stay in Hanoi, we had the chance to participate in the photographic tour “Frame of Hanoi” with Son Trieu de Momentlives – Vietnam Photo Tour. For more than seven hours, this experience was rich, authentic and inspiring. His Trieu made us discover a Hanoi far from the classic tourist circuits: the famous Train Street, but empty because at 5:45 am when the 1st train passes, lively local markets in the early morning, as well as scenes of daily life that we would never have had the opportunity to observe alone. Beyond the places visited, we particularly appreciated his professionalism, his kindness and the quality of his photographic advice. He shared with us both technical and artistic aspects, including composition, working with light, frames in the frame, the use of guidelines, perspectives and the management of backgrounds. His Trieu perfectly adapted to our level and equipment, which allowed us not only to take very beautiful photos, but also to leave with many tips and leads to progress in our photographic practice. An exceptional experience that we highly recommend to all photography enthusiasts and those who want to discover authentic, lively and off the beaten track Hanoi.

Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Frames of Hanoi A unique Hanoi's Photography Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
