    Defauded!

Completely unacceptable, they come from another country to an unforgettable experience and barely reported, only transported, only wanted to sell,, but pays for a more expensive tour, do not enjoy the beauty of the islands, because this tour is crowded and whoever took us the group Mr Fer did not pay much attention to please his customers! My country is amazing and we need to treat the tourist with respect and consideration, every tourist who pays less or who pays more!

Response from the operator: me encantaria saber con que agencia viajo, porque nososotros no hemos tenido pasajeros para este tour mas de año y medio, quejense con la agencia que se encargo de que usted la pase pesimo, y hagaselo saber, porque lo esta haciendo a una agencia que no tiene ni la menor idea de quien es usted y esta opinion esta perdiendo su valor por hacerlo donde no corresponde, ESTA AGENCIA ES CARTAGENA TOURS COLOMBIA CON RNT 78191, asesorese antes de escribir opiniones para que luego en la vida no le pase que la estafen.

Go with the flow and you’ll have a good time

Warnings: 1) The boat ride is VERY intense - that speed boat is going airborne over waves and slamming back down in the water, repeatedly, for an hour or so at a time. 2) The whole tour is in Spanish. Be prepared to have no idea what’s going on ever if you don’t speak Spanish. 3) You will be getting off the boat (and getting back on) directly into the water at Cholon and Baru - there are no docks. It’s no big deal and kinda cool but just be prepared to look a little awkward, and to get anything you want to bring with you a little wet. We had a dry bag which turned out to be VERY handy. Otherwise, this was a blast. The first stop at the aquarium is just meh unless you care to check it out, Cholon is a party and a unique experience, Baru is lovely. We had a great day in the end but it was not what I was expecting.

Response from the operator: Hello 😊 We're so sorry that your experience wasn't what you expected. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion 🙏 We value every comment because it helps us continue to improve 💛 We'll take your comments into account to reinforce this aspect and provide better service to our future travelers 🏝️✨ We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and exceed your expectations. Best regards, Cartagena Tours Colombia Team

    The guide didn’t speak...

The guide didn’t speak English as advertised. The natives were overwhelming & tried to bamboozle us for astronomical tips, when presenting the check for lunch.

Response from the operator: That day unfortunately the guide was not available, due to health problems. However, everything was explained to them in writing. And you enjoyed the tour.

Four Islands Experience Isla Baru: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.

How much does Four Islands Experience Isla Baru cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Four Islands Experience Isla Baru take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.

Is Four Islands Experience Isla Baru worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Four Islands Experience Isla Baru?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Four Islands Experience Isla Baru suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Four Islands Experience Isla Baru?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Four Islands Experience Isla Baru start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cartagena?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cartagena?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cartagena?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
