Great tour and great value
My wife and I booked the Best of Ephesus tour for September 24 through Tours by Locals. Elif was very responsive and helpful in finalizing our tour plans, and Hasan was our tour guide. Hasan met us at the port terminal at 8:30 as arranged and led us on a short walk to our van with private driver. The van was very clean and comfortable. We first visited Mary's House and then traveled to Ephesus. We included the Terrace Houses in the tour, which was a good decision. The excavations of the Terrace Houses are impressive, as is all of Ephesus. Hasan was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and his English and familiarity with the U.S. was excellent. He shared insights into life in current Turkey, which we appreciated. Hasan respected my desire to avoid any carpet-making demonstration. He took us to a local Turkish restaurant for lunch, where we sampled typical Turkish foods-all good. After lunch, we visited the Temple of Artemis, which is unimpressive after the ruins of Ephesus, Athens, and Corinth. The tour lasted about 7 hours. We paid a little less for our private tour with Hasan than we would have for a group tour with our cruise ship, so it was a far superior value. You must see Ephesus, and you cannot go wrong booking a tour with Ephesus Port Tours.

Amazing Private Tour
We had a private tour with Mehmet and it was an unforgettable experience. Definitely recommend a private tour and it was very informative.

Best tour
Ephesus has been our bucket list for years. When the time came we looked on TripAdvisor for your guides and companies. It was obvious which company and guide to select. The reviews did not steer us wrong. Hakan and his company met and exceeded any expectations. Charming, knowledgeable, detailed just a few adjectives of Hakan . You can't go wrong with Hakan.

A really private tour!!
Mary and I were escorted in an air conditioned 15 seater all to ourselves plus our guide Mehmet and driven Levent. The itinerary was as we wished but we were happy to go with the full one on the booking site. Mehmet was exceptionally knowledgeable on all the site visited particularly on Ephesus, which is a must visit site, especially the houses (under cover). Whilst the temperature was "only" 31C, umbrellas were provided. The suggested lunch venue was very good value. We certainly recommend Mehmet with Levent and Ephesus Tours.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Selçuk.
How much does For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Selçuk usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Selçuk is not rushed.
Is For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Selçuk, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Selçuk can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Selçuk and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does For Cruisers : Private Ephesus Tour With Local Tour Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Selçuk within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Selçuk?
+
On Outty we rank every Selçuk experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include PRIVATE EPHESUS TOUR FOR CRUISERS: On-time Return and Skip-Line, FOR CRUISERS: Skip The Lines PRIVATE EPHESUS TOUR &On Time Return, PRIVATE TOUR FOR CRUISERS: Mary's House (Meryemana) and Ephesus. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Selçuk?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Selçuk?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
