    About this experience

Fire dancing is a beautiful performative art that allows developing creativity through physical movement. Fire manipulation and even just being with an element of fire is really magical and hypnotizing. It engages your mind and allows you to focus. it has really amazing energy. It is a great activity and I could compare it to meditation and mindfulness practice. As a student, while dancing with fire, you'd be engaged and focused. It is doing something very extraordinary which could very positively influence your mental health and increase confidence. Its one of a kind experience you wont find everywhere, so its worth to give it a try!

    Bad experience unfortunately

I m sorry but I have to give 1 to this tour as the guide did not show up, I arrived at the predetermined point (next to the statue that IN FRONT of the homonymous pub as written in the announcement) ten minutes before the start, but for the fact I did not see anyone, I waited for 50 minutes, I wrote to the agency that deals with the tour but no response, after 50 minutes I gave up and did something else; I was very disappointed, I wanted to give a positive vote because I wanted to do it but it went wrong and I would like a refund.

Response from the operator: I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. This issue was caused by an unexpected system failure, which had never occurred before. As soon as we became aware of the problem, we issued a full refund immediately. It’s disappointing to receive a 1-star review for a workshop you weren’t able to attend, and we completely understand your frustration. If you’re ever in Edinburgh again, please let us know — we’d love the opportunity to make it up to you.

A dream come true... Dancing with the fire

In search of some things to explore in Edinburgh I stumbled upon the Fire Workshop... and booked it. I wondered, if it really would be with actual fire... And Oh yes, it was! And it was AMAZING! Due to rain the workshop took place in a sheltered tunnel, a really unique place. After some warm up and practice we lit the fire and I'm not able to describe the feeling of the experience. I was packed with adrenaline and happiness. Thanks to Igas excellent instructions I was not only able to spin the stick without setting myself or the city on fire, but to do some cool (or hot =D) tricks as well! And of course we took a lot of pictures and videos which turned out incredibly good in the tunnel. Still can't believe it. Thank you Iga! You are wonderful! Your passion for this art is contagious! I would book this again and again and again...

Fire Dancing with Iga: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.

How much does Fire Dancing with Iga cost?

    +

Prices start at $94 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Fire Dancing with Iga take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.

Is Fire Dancing with Iga worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Fire Dancing with Iga?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Fire Dancing with Iga suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Fire Dancing with Iga?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Fire Dancing with Iga start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Edinburgh: Loch Ness, Glencoe and The Highlands, Edinburgh: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Fort William, Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Glencoe and Pitlochry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Edinburgh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
